 In the Varsity Mac Melto 400m Dash at the Eric Nelson Classic, 27 athletes from 6 schools competed. Mac Melto would have been proud of the performances at the Eric Nelson Classic. Chicago Leo Junior David Frye won it with an official time of 53.11. Chicago Bulls Senior Charles Billingsley finished in second place with an official time of 53.12. Northside Junior Philip Wdowiak dropped 3.38 seconds (57.87) to finish in THIRD place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 54.49. Philip Wdowiak will be awarded a MEDAL for finishing in third place overall. Von Steuben Senior William Huckabee finished in fourth place with an official time of 54.73. Northside Senior Porter Abbey finished in fifth place with an official time of 55.98. Ogden Freshman Carson Hodges finished in sixth place to complete the scoring with an official time of 56.72. Northside Senior Gabriel Jimenez-Ekman finished in seventh place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 56.75. Northside Sophomore Josh Borgwardt dropped 2.94 seconds (60.56) to finish in tenth place with a PERSONAL BEST time of 57.62. imageimageimage

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Junior Danny Rosen ran the first 800m in 2:21, and then ran the final 800m in a NEGATIVE split of 2:14 to finish in FIRST PLACE with an outstanding time of 4:35.74. Danny Rosen will be awarded a MEDAL for finishing in first place overall. Von Steuben Sophomore Jaime Marcos finished in second place to earn a medal with an impressive time of 4:38.29. Leo Junior Sirlaurence King finished in third place to earn a medal with an outstanding time of 4:43.59.

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Kyle Friedler ran the first 800m in 2:22, and then ran the final 800m in 2:30 to finish in fourth place overall with an official time of 4:52.40. Kyle Friedler will be awarded a RIBBON for finishing in fourth place overall. imageimageimage

 In the Varsity 1600m run, Northside Sophomore Alex Ortiz finished in fifth place overall to earn a RIBBON and secure vital points for the Mustangs with an outstanding time of 4:53.38. Alex Ortiz ran the first 800m in 2:24, and then ran the final 800m in 2:29 for an official time of 4:53.38. Alex Ortiz will be awarded a RIBBON for finishing in fifth place overall. Chicago Bulls Senior Jonathan Rico completed the scoring by finishing in sixth place with an official time of 5:02.27.
