District 33's New Google Calendar
It has never been easier to keep track of all District 33 clinics, meeting and events. A special thanks to Shondra Jerabek of Murphy Canyon Little League for sharing her knowledge of google calendars for everyone in District 33. We will be using this calendar instead of the eteamz calendar on the webpage. |
Here are some of the advantages of using the D33 Google Calendar:
- Can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.
- Can set it up to send notifications of appointments and events to your email and cell phone.
- With just a few clicks, you can add events from our calendar to your personal Google calendar.
- You can subscribe to other (organizations, schools, and people) calendars and the information posted on their calendar automatically updates to your calendar.
- If you are on a website and they have a Google Calendar, you can click on an event that interests you and it will automatically give you the option to "Copy to my calendar". Click on the link and it automatically posts to your calendar.
How to Register for a Google Calendar
Go to our Google Calendar page and click on the "Google Logo" located at the bottom right hand corner of the calendar.
- Click on the "Create an account" button.
- Fill in all of the required information on the page. You are able to use your current email address for your account. You are not required to have a Gmail account. Click the "I accept create my account" button at the bottom of the page.
- Check your email and click on the link to verify your account.
- Click on the link for "Google Home"
- In the top right hand corner, click on the "My Account" link.
- Click on the link "Calendar" that is about half way down the page.
- The next screen should show your new calendar.
Set Up Your Google Calendar
In the top right hand corner of your google calendar, you can click on the "Settings" link to set up your preferences. There are multiple tabs available. In addition, on the left hand side, in the middle of the page, you will see a box that says "My Calendars" If you click on the arrow a drop down menu appears. The "Calendar Settings" link will allow you to customize the information available on your calendar. You can also set up who you want to share the calendar with. As well as how you would like to be notified (email, text or computer pop-ups) of upcoming appointments and events. Subscribe to CA District 33 calendar for events. On the left hand side under the "Other Calendars" tab, there is a box that says "Add a friend’s calendar". Type in district33@cox.net. All scheduled events should appear on your calendar.
Add Only Specific Events
You have the option of only adding specific District 33 events to your calendar. If you click on the event that interests you, a box will pop up. In the box there will be the option to "Add to my calendar". Click on it and Google will automatically update your calendar.

2011 All-Star Tournament Information

Did you know that there are 5 levels in the All-Star Tournament? The first level is District. The second level is Sections. The third level is Divisions. In Southern California, since there are many leagues, Little League has divided Southern California in half and have 2 tournaments called Sub-Divisions. After Divisions are Regional's and finally the World Series. The lower divisions, 9/10's and 10/11's end their tournaments at the Divisional Level. 2011 World Series All-Star Tournament
The final level of the 2011 All-Star Tournament is the World Series. 8 Divisions end their tournament with the World Series. Below you will find information for ages 11 through 16 in Baseball and Softball.

2011 Southern California State Division 10-11's All-Star Tournament

District 33 was proud to host the final level of the 2011 All-Star Tourament for the 10-11's Baseball Division; The 2011 Southern California State Division 10-11's All-Star Tournament.
Congratulations to District 42's Park View Little League for winning Southern California Division 10-11's Tournament held at Chollas Lake Little League. Final Sub-Division 10-11's Brackets: Southern California North & Southern California South.
"Everest Youth Sports" recorded 2 Sub-Division & 1 Division Tournament games at Chollas Lake
Everest Youth Sports, an internet broadcast network, recorded the following games of the 2011 Sub-Division and Division Tournament at Chollas Lake Little League. July 27th: 10-11's Sub-Division Championship Game
July 28th: The "If" game
July 31st: 10-11's Division Championship Game All the games are available to view on-line for free on a 24 hr. delayed basis, just go to their website and click on Video on Demand. If you would like to purchase a DVD of any of these games, EYSports are selling them for $10 per game. Mid-City Seniors Season Comes to a Close
The Mid-City Senior All-Stars battled their way through two close games in the Southern Sub-Division Tournament in Riverside. In the first game on Saturday, July 23, they lost 2-1. In the second game on Sunday, July 24, they were on the short end of a 4-0 defeat. Congratulations to coaches Ken, Brian, Darryl and George for all their work with this team and to the players themselves, who played like champions the entire season.
Umpiring at the Little League Softball Western Regional Tournament
Brent Forrest, one of our District 33 staff umpires was assigned to umpire at the Little League Softball Western Regional All-Star Tournament, July 23rd to July 29th in San Bernardino, CA
Brent volunteered to give us some insight of what it's like to umpire at the Regional level of the All-Star Tournament. Brent shared his thought with everyone on our District 33 Facebook page. District All-Star Tournament
The District All-Star Tournament is completed for all Divisions. Congratulations to all the District winners and good luck in the Section 6 All-Star Tournament.
