The 11-U Chicago Demons have quietly put together a very solid spring, and have laid a strong foundation for the future. The 11-U Demons, in their first year of competing on the AAU circuit, have made a number of strong runs in several key tournaments this spring.
Key members of the 11-U Demons include Johnny Roland (Kellman), Erick Locke (Chicago Latin), Langdon Neal (Francis Parker), Joshua Irving (Nichols), Jibrel Jackson (Kellman), Kevin Wright and Glen Hefferman.
The 11-U Demons advanced to the Elite 8 in the state AAU Tournament, the Final Four in the Midwest Future Stars Classic, and a first place finish in the 11-U IBA Tournament.
Keep an eye out for the 11-U Demons, they appear to be on track for a very bright future.

Class of 2007 Chicago Von Steuben star Michael Horton was named MVP as the Chicago Demons defeated Chicago Old Gold to win the title at the Nike Midwest Future Stars Showdown in Columubus, Ohio. The competing field of teams included the Illinois Fire, Illinois Bobcats, All-Ohio Red, the King James Shooting Stars and the Cleveland Basketball Club.
Horton, a 5-8 point guard, made big plays all weekend long including a game-winning jumper at the buzzer in the semifinals. A number of other Demons had standout weekends including Mike Stovall (Chicago Marshall), Mike Fukuade and Wilfredo Escobar (Chicago Prosser) who all joined Horton on the All-Tournament Team.
The Demons also received strong contributions from Dominque Walker, Devin Zajac, Warren Toetging and Darius Fields.
Fields missed the championship game after being taken to th hospital for dehydration. Travis Clark stepped up from the 16-U Demons to replace Fields in the title game, and made plays on both ends of the floor.
The Demons 16-U team, behind big efforts from Deon Thompson and Charles Golden, advanced to the Elite 8 in the 16-U age division.
