The next EIGHT days will be very busy for Alameda Little League as we finish gearing up for the 2016 season. Here's a reminder of the coming events:

Mar 05 - ALL Umpire Training - mandatory for all teams, check-in at 8:30 AM at the Snack Bar
Mar 07 - CPR Training in the Multi-Purpose room at Lumm Elementary, 6:00 PM - all managers are required to be certified, parents are also invited. FREE event.
Mar 08 - ALL Umpire Rules Clinic Webinar - 6:45 PM. Please contact your manager to R.S.V.P.
Mar 12 - Opening Day Festivities - Ceremonies for the entire League and at least 1 game per baseball divisions A, AA, AAA, Majors
Mar 12 - Photo Day - save yourself some headaches by purchasing on-line. Print out and bring the receipt with you
Mar 12 - Field Prep Clinic immediately following Opending Day Festivities. Meet at the main equipment shed.
Mar 12 - Score Keeping Clinic, 6:00pm, just before the first regular season game under the lights
Mar 12 - Opening Day MAJORS DIVISION NIGHT Game
Mar 13 - All remaining teams in A, AA, AAA and Majors play
Mar 13 - Sponsor Appreciation Night - Alameda Island Brewing Company Tasting Room 

Keep your fingers crossed for a break in the weather on the 12th and 13th! 

The 2016 Umpiring Clinic will follow a different format this year. As usual there will be the on-field mechanics followed by live scrimmages on March 5. Check in at 8:30 at the Snack Bar. Clinic runs from 9:00 to 12:30.

Different for this year, the rules portion will be held via a webinar on Tuesday, March 8 at 6:45pm. Umpires will be able to call into a live webinar to participate in the rules clinic. An email was sent to the Majors through A division managers on Feb. 24 asking to R.S.V.P.

Little League Families, the 2016 season is nearly upon us and we are in need of Supervisors for the Snack Bar. The proceeds from the Snack Bar is one of the reasons why we can keep our registration fees the lowest in District 4. If your team furnishes a manager your team will be excempt from snak bar shifts. Please contact your manager to volunteer!
