Lady Falcons Take Care of Garfield 11-0

Posted by Rob OFarrell at May 6, 2011 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Our girls scored 11 runs belting 10 hits against Garfield last night.  The game was capped off with a walk-off 2 run homer by Katie Englebrecht in the 6th to run-rule Garfield.  Keelin Davis struck out 11 giving up just 2 hits in the game.

Woodinville made quick work of Newport, Ballard and Eastlake this week by a combined score of 27-3.

Winning 16-1 the Lady Falcon bats were hot at Newport with a multi-home run game by Alex Boyd driving in 5 RBI's and a big grand slam home run by Katie Englebrecht.  Madi Schreyer threw a 2 hitter with 6 strikeouts to keep Newport from having any chance of making this one close.

Against Ballard our girls won 6-0 rattling off 13 hits with Kayla O'Farrell going 2 for 4 with a triple and Katie Englebrecht going 2 for 4 with a double and a triple.  Keelin Davis pitched the shutout giving up 4 hits and striking out 3.

Eastlake coming off a big win against 3A #2 ranked Juanita wasn't able to keep it rolling againast our Lady Falcons who put them away 5-2 behind great pitching by Madi Schreyer and nice hitting by Makena Weir going 3-4 at the plate.

  CampersNice Play! Time with Friends

Sunday brought out our future WHS Falcon Ladies to the field to learn a few things from the current Lady Falcons.  Who, in turn, learned a few things about the importance of being a part of the community and giving back some knowledge and time to their beloved sport while remembering back as to why they care so much about their sport and their teammates.

The weather was picture perfect and the turnout was awesome!
