The 2008 Tigers missed a perfect district season by only a late season blemish when they fell to the Mayde Creek Rams. Still, a 13-1 finish garnered the Tigers their 4^th district championship in seven years. The Tigers accomplished their 2008

championship with basically underclassmen. They return nine starters including seven position players. Three of four varsity pitchers from 2008 return to the 2009 squad giving the Tigers a leg up in the new district 17-5A
