CORONADO, CA - Over 20 Nova & Multisports Orange County athletes raced at the 2009 Superfrog and Superseal events. The Superfrog was a 70.3 distance event and featured a two lap open water swim through the strong surf which resulted in some athletes losing their goggles. The bike was a flat 4 lap course, while the run was a flat 2 laps but included plenty of sand running.  Mark Haskins was the top team finisher in 4:51, while Kat Gouldy was the top female finisher in 5:36.

The Superseal was an Olympic Distance race starting 2 hours after the Superfrog with a swim on the bay side instead of the ocean. The water was about 5 degrees warmer than the ocean side.

Coach Mike Collins had the fastest time from the group at 2:07:06 just :01 ahead of Ben Travis, a Palm Springs transplant who now trains a bit with Nova. Brandy Bounds was the top female from the group at 2:18:19.

Below is a list of team finishers (let us know if your name was missing!)
