After a rough night in conference play at Wayzata on Friday night the Falcons bounced back with a big conference win over Hopkins 75-56.

The Falcons built an early lead and never looked back.  All five starters were in double figures with Liz Wilson leading the way with 19 points.  Nicole Dooher scored 18 and also added 8 assists and 6 steals.  Alyssa Marschner pitched in10 points and Kristi Loobeck had a double double with 10 points, 12 rebounds.  Off the bench Kara Ryan and Nicole Carlson gave big minutes.  

The win runs the Falcons conference record to 2-1 heading into another conference battle with Edina on Thursday.

 

The drive was far, the start time was later, but the performance was worth the wait.   The Falcons took to Forest Lake to take on a Ranger team that had a very strong post presence with players topping 6'4.  The Falcons struggled at first from the field going into halftime down by 6, 31-25, but behind the strong offensive play of Alli Hoefer and some great defense by the Falcons they were able to notch 44 2nd half points and pick up a good road win 69-59.  Hoefer finished with 20.  Liz Wilson and Alyssa Marschner pitched in 12 and Nicole Dooher continued her quest to 1,000 points with 10 points.  Dooher had some timely steals in the 2nd half.  Kristi Loobeck was active putting up 8 points.

 

Next up the Falcons will take on St Francis tonight.  Tonight is youth night so all youth players need to arrive by 6:30pm in the gym.  Please support the Flacons tonight and the youth program.

Falcons finished the back end of their back to back days with games with a Friday night battle with St Francis. Alyssa Marschner and Alli Hoefer both went for 20 points.  Nikki Carlson gave the Falcons some great minutes pitching in 8 points.  Nicole Dooher ran her career total closer to 1000 points pitching in 12. 

 On the boards Kristi Loobeck grabbed 12, Liz Wilson, Marschner and Dooher also added 8 a piece.

 Next up the Falcons will take on Wayzata at Wayzata on Friday 1/30.

Marschner leads Falcons to another road win

Playing back to back nights can takes its toll on teams, and after a conference battle the night before the Falcons needed to start strong against Coon Rapids.  Led by the sharp shooting of Alyssa Marschner and Nicole Dooher the Falcons jumped out to a quick 42-12 halftime lead.  From their the Falcons coasted to a 64-47 victory.

 

Marschner finished with 20 on the night with Dooher adding 16. Alli Hoefer also pitched in 10 points on the night.

 Next up the Falcons play on Thurday at Forest Lake.  and then Friday at home versus St Francis.

Conference wins in the Classic Lake always come tough...escpecially on the road.  The Falcons took to Minnetonka Friday Night looking to get off to a great start to the Classic Lake part of the season.  The Falcons did not disappoint the fans jumping out to a very quick start.  Minnetonka fought back and would not go away but in the end free throws sealed the deal for the Falcons. 

Alli Hoefer led the team with 15 points, Alyssa Marschner and Nicole Dooher both chipped in 12 and Liz Wilson and Kristi Loobeck both added 9 a piece.

Next up Tomorrow 3pm versus Coon Rapids.
