Two night = Two more wins
The Armstrong girls on Friday and Saturday had 2 games, one a conference opener with Minnetonka and the second a good match up with Minneapolis Roosevelt. The girls played hard and together and with some great balanced teamwork were able to get 2 wins and stretch their record to 15-1.
On Friday night The Falcons were able to use a balanced attack that featured 4 girls in double figures scoring led by Amanda Viehauser's 13. Alli Hoefer, Nicole Dooher and Alyssa Marschner all pitched in 10 and Stephanie Loobeck added 7.
Viehauser's strong inside presence and Hoefer's sharp shooting seemed to be the difference against a good conference foe.
On Saturday the Falcons were dealt a blow as Nicole Dooher left the game 4 minutes into it with a Fracture in her foot, but Alyssa Marschner, Steph Loobeck and Amanda Viehauser picked up the slack to lead the Falcons to a 67-62 victory. Loobeck led the team with 16 points, Marschner had 15 and Viehauser 11 in the effort. Alli Hoefer also pitched in 8 points. Marschner also highlighted the game with 7 assists.
Next up the Falcons will take on Lakeville North on Friday in a non-conference matchup.
