News and Announcements

Every student in the Armstrong Band Program has many opportunities throughout the year to raise money to be used for activity fees and band trips.  Each student has their own "Band Account" that is kept by one of our band booster parents.  When a student participates in a fundraiser, the profits are added to that student's account.  Participation in fundraising is optional, but it is a great way to defray the cost of a trip or pay for it entirely.  Students will receive announcements regarding these fundrasiers during band, but the information is also available on our Fundraising Page.  Our Fundraisers throughout the year are as follows:

-Hi-Notes Coupon Book Sales - September-October
-Citrus, Candy & ButterBraids Sales - Take orders in October/November and delivery is in December
-Cub Grocery Bagging - year-round, usually around major holidays
-Car Washes - in the summer time
Food Perspectives Taste Testing - ongoing

The Student Accounts Spreadsheet summarizes what fundraising students have done and what is in their band account.  This spreadsheet can be found hanging in the front of the band room.  It usually takes 3-4 weeks to get the results from a fundraiser, so if you or you student participated in a fundraiser in the last month, the results may not be posted yet.  As we get closer to trip payment deadlines, we will make every effort to keep the spreasheet as current as possible.

Please keep track of the fundraising you or your student have done and check the spreadsheet regularly.

The band began their second fundraiser of the year, selling Butterbraids, Citrus, and Catalog Items, on Wednesday, October 22nd.  Fundraising packets were distributed in class and some pdf versions can also be found on our website.  Students should be taking orders and collecting money at this time, all of which is due by Wednesday, November 7th.

Please do not be confused by the multiple order forms.  Butterbraid orders should go on the Butterbraid order form.  Fruit and catalog orders should go on the three-layer, "Pine River" order form.  Be sure to write neatly and press hard so the writing carries through to the back layer.  Checks should be made out to "AHS Band Boosters."

Students make approximately 40% for their individual "Band Account" which can be used for trips/tours or other band related expenses.  Items will be delivered to AHS on Tuesday, Dec. 16th.  Students will need to pick up their items after school or later that evening.  More information will be given when we get closer.
