Information for Ryan Smith Services
The memorial service for Ryan Smith will be taking place on Wednesday, June 3, from 6-9pm, at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens at 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33317. Forest Lawn is just off of Davie Road and I-595. It is the large golden pyramid that can be seen on the right hand side when traveling east on I-595.
The funeral service will also take place at Forest Lawn on Thursday, June 4, from 2-3pm.
After the funeral services on Thursday, friends and family will be gathering at the Pembroke Lakes Country Club, 10500 Taft Street, from 4-8pm. For those interested in providing food, the Pembroke Lakes Country Club will allow store or restaurant purchased platters only and they may be delivered on Thursday between the hours of 1-3pm.
At the request of the Smith family, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ryan may be made to the Falcons Baseball Booster Club, P.O. Box 260172, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026.
Postseason Accolades For Falcons Baseball Program
Four Falcon seniors were selected to participate in the 2009 Broward County All Star Game at 7pm on Thursday, 5/21, at Nova High School. Representing Flanagan on the South team will be Carlos Delgado, Justin Frias, Zach Jackson and Dave Thomas. The South team will be led by Falcons Head Coach Ray Evans and his assistant coaches, Eric Cruz, Noel Figueroa, Pete Greenwood and Howard Stein.
Additionaly, Coach Evans was selected as an assistant coach for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) Baseball All Star Classic, held in Sebring, FL, May 28-30.
