2011-2012 Iron Falcon
ABOUT THE AWARD
The Falcons baseball program decided to take a page out of the FAU playbook and start its own "Iron Falcon" award. Its goal is to encourage team camaraderie, while at the same time making sure each individual player understands what is like to compete on a daily basis against not only his teammates but himself as well. It is our goal for each player to try and reach their highest-potential as a student, a person and as baseball player.
The award indentifies the strongest Falcon baseball player - both mentally and physically. A series of events where held throughout the fall season that tested each student-athletes' physical strength, knowledge of the game and academic performance.
Each event and category was graded and a running total of each player's rank was kept by the Falcon coaching staff.
