Possible World Series MVP?
The Rangers are 1 win away from being the World Series Champions, and if they do win the 6th or 7th game of the World Series Mike Napoli could very well be the World Series MVP. He is hitting .308 and has 2 HR's with 9 RBI's in the World Series.
On Sunday in game 4 he hit a decisive 3-run bomb to left field in the sixth to help the Rangers to victory with a 4-0 win.
Last night in game 5 with the crowd chanting, NAH-PO-LEE, NAH-PO-LEE, he came through in the clutch once again. In the bottom of the 8th, the score tied 2-2, the bases were loaded with 1 out. Napoli stepped up once again and put the Rangers on his back. He hit a 2 run double into the right centerfield gap to score 2 runs to put them ahead for good, 4-2.
In the ninth inning Pujols struck out and Napoli threw out Allen Craig for the second time on the night trying to steal 2nd base. He made the last out of the game very interesting when he mishandled a breaking ball for strike three, ran it down and tossed to first beating the baserunner for the final out of the game.

Martinez 1st year in the Bigs
Martinez had 35 RBIs since his debut on July 30 -- tops among all Astros and all National League rookies in that span -- and is batted .274 in 53 games in the Major League this year. Martinez, a 20th-round draftee in 2009, began the year at Double-A Corpus Christi, and he earned a promotion after batting .338 with 13 homers and 72 RBIs in 88 games. The 23-year-old skipped Triple-A entirely and will likely be a key component of Houston's outfield next season. STATS SUMMARYGet J.D. Martinez gear at the Houston Astros shop >

Former Falcon in World Series
Former Falcon Mike Napoli is on the grandest of all stages playing in the 2011 World Series with the Texas Rangers. Although the Rangers lost Game 1 to the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-2, Napoli made a statement going 1-2 with a 2-run HR and a unitentional intentional walk. Trailing 2-0 in the top of the 5th inning, Adrian Beltre singled to start the inning and with one out Napoli deposited a fastball over the right field wall to tie the score 2-2.
Napoli has had a great postseason so far and hopes to continue it tonight in Game 2 of the 2011 World Series which will be played tonight at 7:05.
Napoli is one of the leaders in many offensive categories for not only the Rangers but the Major League as well. Here are his up-to date post-season, season and career stats.
