Jose Mesa Jr. Drafted and Signed by the Yankees
Jose Mesa was chosen to the FACA, Florida Athletic Coaches Association, All-Star Game in Sebring, Florida. It is a very prestigious event that only the top prospects in the state are chosen for.
Jose Mesa, Andres Sanchez and Rick Sanchez were named to the Broward High School Baseball All-Star game which will take place at Nova H.S. on June 2nd at 7pm.
Jose and Rick were also named to the BCAA, Broward County Athletic Association, All-Star game which will take place at Nova H.S. on May 23rd at 7pm.
The Sun Sentinel and the Miami Herald named Jose Mesa, Andres Sanchez and Rick Sanchez to the All-County 1st Team.
The Sun Sentinel also named Jose Mesa the 6A-8A Player of the Year.
The Falcons also had 6 players named to the All-District 12-8A team by Broward High School Baseball. They are:
Jose Mesa, P, Andres Visbal, 2B, Andres Sanchez, SS, Rick Sanchez, C, Oscar Rodriguez, OF and Gentry Fortuno, P.
Jose Mesa was also named the District 12-8A Pitcher of the Year as well as the Player of the Year by Broward High School Baseball.
We as a program are all very proud of these young men and their accomplishments this year. I would like to congratulate all of them and their families for their achievements. The coaching staff and the entire program want to thank the seniors for their time, effort and dedication to the program. Good luck in your future endeavors.
