The Falcons went 3-0 during the first round of the HSBN tournament this week. They beat St. Thomas by a score of 6-4. Two days later they played Coral Glades. and beat them 11-1. The third and final game was played against Piper Saturday evening and the Falcons came out on top 8-0.
There were a lot of good performances by many different players on the team. Young sophomore pitcher, Hunter Platts and Junior Luis Barranco pitched very well against St. Thomas in the 6-4 victory. Sophomore Dakota Doyle pitched a gem in a complete 5 inning 11-1 win against Coral Glades . Juniors Kharlin Sued and Luis Barranco combined to complete the 8-0 shutout win against Piper. The pitchers only gave up 5 runs in 3 games with 4 being earned.
The defense was spectacular in the three games played with only one error being made in the first game win against St. Thomas. The hitters did their job providing plenty of run support in each of the games. The offense produced 25 runs in 3 games with everybody in the lineup getting into the action at some point.
