The Flanagan Baseball Booster Club's 1st Poker Tournament of 2013-2014 will be held on Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 at J.P. Mulligan's in Pembroke Pines.

2013 Falcons Summer Baseball Clinic Information

The clinics that have been hosted by the Flanagan Falcons coaching staff have been a huge success for local youth baseball players interested in top notch instruction from some of the best coaches in South Florida! 

The Falcon coaching staff will be holding their annual Summer clinic this year from June 10th – July 18th. To register, please complete the registration and waiver form that are attached and either mail them or bring it with you to the 1st day of the clinic.  

The clinic is conducted at beautiful Falcon field, on the Flanagan High school campus. Don't miss out, sign up today.

All of the registration and waiver information are attached. If mailing in forms please have in mail no later than May 29th. They can also be brought in with you to the 1st day of the clinic.

2005, 2006 & 2010 Class 6A State Champs

2010 Baseball America National Champions

The All-County selections have been made and the All-Star teams have been picked. The Falcons have them both covered as Sophomore RHP Gentry Fortuno, Junior 1B Ryan Dodge and Senior 2B Andres Visbal were all named 1st Team All County by the Miami Herald and the Sun Sentinel.

The HSBN All-District Teams were named and the Falcons had the following 5 players named to the District 12-8A team.

Senior 3B Alan "AJ" Munoz

Junior 1B Ryan Dodge

Junior RHP Alex Sarmiento

Sophomore RHP Gentry Fortuno

Alan "AJ" Munoz and Andres Visbal were named to the BCAA Senior All-Star game. The game will be played on Wednesday, May 22nd at 7pm at Nova High School.

Andres Visbal was also named to the HSBN Senior All-Star game. That game will be played on Saturday, June 1st at 7pm at Westminster Academy Sports Complex. Visbal will be playing for the Blue team which will be representing the 7A-8A classifications.

We want to congratulate these young men for their outstanding achievements this year, and to all of the players for a successful 2013 season.

The Falcon Baseball Coaching staff would also like to thank all the of the parents for making this such a successful season.  You all play such an integral part to the success of the program and sometimes can be overlooked. Thank you for everything you did this year and still do every day for the program.

The Falcons took the field Friday night in hopes of making it's first return to the Final Four since 2010. Those hopes were erased after the Jupiter Warriors came in to Falcon Field and beat the Falcons 8-1 in the Regional Final.

The Warriors started the scoring in the bottom of the first. Chris Rodriguez started the game for the Falcons and got into trouble right away in the 1st inning. With 2 outs and a man on 3rd, the Warriors cleanup hitter hit a 2-1 pitch over the centerfield wall to stake the Warriors to a 2-0 lead. The next hitter followed that up with a back to back solo shot to left centerfield, to make the score 3-0. The Falcons made a pitching change and brought in Kharlin Sued to close the inning. The second and third were silent and the Falcons looked as if they might get back into the game when Daniel Oliveri hit a solo shot in the bottom of the 2nd inning to make the score 3-1. It just wasn't to be the Falcons night though. In the top of the 4th inning the Falcons got into trouble. The Warriors loaded the bases loaded with two outs. Alex Sarmiento was called on to relieve Sued and would have gotten out of the jam. Sarmiento was able to get a routine ground ball that looked like it would end the inning but a crucial throwing error gave the Warriors 2 more runs to make the score 5-1. The Warriors added 1 run in the 6th and 2 more in the 7th to make the final score 8-1.

Senior AJ Munoz and Freshman Eric Rivera both had 2 hits on the night and Senior Daniel Oliveri went 1-1 with 2 BB's and the solo homerun for the lone RBI on the night.

It wasn't quite the way the Falcons had hoped for the season to end, but it was a very successful year and one they all should be proud of. The Falcons won the District Championship once again, made it to another Regional Final and finished the year at 20-6. Congratulations to the 2013 Falcon Baseball Team.
