News and Announcements
The WWBL is teaming up with EWG to get the winter basketball season up and running for boys and girls in grades 4th – 11th. We expect to start tryouts on Monday, November 16th and team practices to start Monday, November 23rd.
Many changes for the 2020 season, most notably all games & practices will be held at the WW Complex and not in any of the WW Public School buildings.
We will be working closely with the WW Complex staff and adhering to all CDC and RIDOH Guidelines. Many precautions will be in place to reduce the risk of COVID.
We eagerly look forward ot getting these kids on the court exercising and playing some fun basketball.

We just received GREAT news form the state of RI Confirming Games can be played!!!! Per RI DEM “basketball will be classified as a moderate risk sport, and thus eligible to play games. As with all sports, they should make efforts to modify their game to reduce the risk of Covid 19”.
League wll be much smaller this year and it appears we will not have use of the WW Schools so there will be changes. However, our kids will be playing :)
1st come, 1st serve for the limited spots. Mass e-mail went out last night with reg forms to all players who played last winter. If you want a registration form e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org,
*Lights are now on down at Riverpoint until midnight ;)
That;s both the tennis and basketball folks.*
All, I tried my best to get our kids a summer basketball league to play in – we held out as long as we possibly could. However, under the current climate, we just can not play contact basketball due to the COVID. I had a call into the Gov office yesterday hoping for good news on Phase 4 as the numbers in RI have certainly dropped. However, at this time, there is no set date for moving on to Phase 4.
Going to start issuing refunds but please be patient, I am a 1 man show and just had to re-order more checks.
Please feel free to e-mail me so I can confirm I have your correct mailing address.
WW residents, I am hoping you all will be playing in the upcoming WWBL Winter Session which starts in November. I can move your registration fee and paperwork right over to the 2020 WWBL Winter League and your child will be all set.
