MINUTES READ FROM LAST MONTH 12/06 MOTION BY HENRY AND GEORGE TO ACCEPT MINUTES (ACCEPTED) C. BASKETBALL: 1. NO PROBLEMS REPORTED AT ELEMENTRY SCHOOL. 2. NO PROBLEMS REPORTED AT REC. CENTER. MOTION TO ACCECT BY TIM AND RENEE HIEMBACH. (ACCEPTED) D. NEW BUSINESS: E. BASKETBALL: 1. NEXT YEAR NO DOUBLE ROSTERING OF TRAVELING TEAM KIDS FROM BOTH THE BOYS AND GIRLS TEAM. DISCUSED AND WAS DECIDED TO HOLD OFF ON THE ISSUE UNTIL NEXT SEASON FOR BASKETBALL DEPENDING ON KIDS NUMBERS SIGNED UP TO PLAY BASKETBALL. 2. GIRLS 5TH & 6TH GRADE TRAVELING TEAM PLACED 1ST IN CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. 3. JUNIOR CADETS RECORDED IN NAZARETH TOURNAMENT WAS 2-2. 4. 5TH & 6TH GRADE GIRLS PLAY NORTH PARKLAND ON SAT 1/13/07 AT 1315 HRS. AT THE NORTHAMPTON REC. ALL WELCOME. F. SOFTBALL: 1. BUDGET PRESENTED BY FOSTER. EQUIPMENT COSTS FOR 2007 SEASON REQUESTED. BREAK AWAY BAGS NEEDED. BUDGET PASSED VOTE THAT WAS PUT TO THE FLOOR. 2. 2007 SEASON SHOULD HAVE 15 TEAMS. G. BASEBALL: (NO REPRESATIVE PRESENT) 1. A TRAVELING MIDGET COACH IS NEEDED. IF NO COACH IS IN PLACE BY 3/07 NO TRAVELING TEAM WILL BE FIELDED. (TRAVELING LEAGUE RULE) 2. WORKING ON FLYERS FOR SEASON. H. CHEERING: NO REP. PRESENT. I. FIELD HOCKEY: NO REP PRESENT. J. WRESTLING: 1. TOURNAMENT FOR NOVICE (1st year kids) 1ST WEEKEND IN 2/07. ENTRY FEE PER WRESTLER TOTAL COST REQUESTED. TOURNAMENT WILL BE HELD AT EMMAUS HIGH SCHOOL. MOTION BY FOSTER AND HENRY ACCEPTED. 2. SEASON SHOULD END AROUND 2ND WEEK OF 2/07. AFTER SEASON OPEN GYM WILL BE HELD AT HIGH SCHOOL FOR 2 WEEKS. K. New Business: Basketball: Issues with Elementary schools. Email has been sent to coaches that buildings must remain occupied by a coach until Emmons or Milisits come to lock up at end of night. Rec Center – Too many drink bottles left in gym. Must do a better job of policing this or gym time will be lost. Inclement weather closing and cancellations – Milisits will set up call list. Concession Stand at Rec – NAA will provide workers on Saturdays and Sundays. All travelling coaches will referee in house playoffs and championships. Wrestling: Three matches to date, undefeated so far. Baseball: Still in need of a traveling midget coach. LVLBL changed the mercy rule to 12 run rule. Connie Mack league is discussing a fall ball program. League fees requested, approved. Softball: Need to select sign up dates for 2007 season. Feb 2&3, and 16&17th at Rec Center. Friday 6-8 pm, Saturdays 12-3 pm. Field Hockey: Cheering: Football: Goal post at Canal street have been removed. Meeting with Circle at 6:00 regarding condition of equipment. Entire slate of new officers in SYFL : Rick Spangler is their Treasurer. Election of Officers: President – Emmons Vice President – Deetz Treasurer – Kerbacher Corresponding Secretary – Spangler Motion made to keep these officers for 2007, passed. Secretary Nominations Trevor Hackman and Renee Heimbach, Hackman voted into position. Meeting Adjourned.

Wrestling – 31 kids, and one more sign up left Basketball – 84 kids so far Travel team uniforms looked into Budget approved for new uniforms Football – Appreciation Day went well. Spanky thanked all work done by Deetz and Emmons. The National Anthem will be played at all football games. There will be a flag tournament Spetember 22. All old business accepted. New Business: Baseball – Curt Bauer resigned as Travel Biddy coach. Glen Benes will be new Travel biddy coach. Mike Bodnar staying Knee Hi coach Scott Golomb staying as Central Whitehall coach Rick Garger staying as Connie Mac coach Softball – Two weeks of Fall Ball left. October 28th is finals at Pattes park Field Hockey – Done for the year. Need new shin guards, getting quote. Cheering – Pep Rally went well Wrestling – Need money for budget, approved. Basketball – Dan Shuey resigns as Knee Hi coach. Ed Tierney will be new Knee Hi coach. Rick Haines resigns as Cadet coach. Joe Yanek will be new Cadet coach. Motion for Mark Nicholas to be boys 3&4 County Hoops coach. Approved. Motion for Kevin George to be Jr Cadet Coach. Approved. Need for more In House coaches for basketball. If 7&8 grade boys make the school team they are no allowed to play NAA In House. November 7th Basketball Coaches meeting at Field House 6:30 p.m. Football – Home games are all done at Canal Park. Thanks to all. 110’s in playoffs. 95’s done. 85’s done. Flags two tournaments left 10/22 and 10/28. Website directions for football locations need to be updated. General: Motion to pay bill for Basketball magnets accepted and approved. Motion to pay bill for antenna toppers accepted and approved. Look into equipment upgrade for football. Wally Azar and Robert Delker had much discussion about situations on the 85 lb. football team. Coaches from the 85 # team also discussed issues. It was decided to have a team meeting on Thursday 10/14/06 at 8:00 po.m. and all are invited. Adjourned.

Coaches meeting held. Bills paid for magnets and toppers. Meeting with 85# football team held and all issues with parents and coaches worked out. New Business: Softball - Fall ball results – 14&Under Marcks 1st place 14&Under Schaffer 2nd place 12&Under Morey 2nd place Still need to collect equipment and keys. Baseball – Dean Lakatosh resigns as Travel Midget coach Field Hockey – none Cheering – Competition held at Northampton High School went very well. Football – Season finished. 110’s done in first round against N Parkland. Equipment returned – still collecting a few uniforms. Requested we have sign up for help on the fields during game days. Flag team finished season A- 10-0-2, B- 6-2 Flags played tournament held 1 day. NAA won. Wrestling – Sign ups done. 58 Kids First match December 3rd Basketball – Travel Team uniforms ordered. Tryouts start Saturday 11/11/06 Teams should be picked by Nov 18th Mark Nicholas resigned as 3&4 county Hoops coach. Motion for Gary Kutos to be Head coach. Accepted. Budget for basketball includes: LVKBL league and ref fees 3&4 Boys league and ref fees 5&6,7&8 girls league and ref fees Equipment for all. Accepted. General: Look into fertilizing NAA field before weather changes. Talk to Milisits. Motion to send tractor to Gravely to be serviced for the next season. Accepted. New Business: Baseball: - Softball: Fall ball – four teams. 2 12 & Under and 2 14 & Under. Not enough players for a 16& under team. 12 & Under LVL traveling team were league champions Cheering: Money needed for competitions. Approved. Field Hockey: Practices going well. Need Grass cut. Wrestling: signups at the Field House: 9/18 6:30 – 8, 9/21 6:30 – 8, 9/23 12-1:30, 19/17 6:30-8, 10/19 6:30-8. Basketball: Gary Henry resigns as boys commissioner. Bill Milisits commissioner over girls and boys, the whole program. Flyers needed to distribute to schools. Sign Ups are: 10/12 6-8, 10/14 8-1, 10/21 8-1. At field house. Look into new uniforms for the travel teams. Bill to set up meeting with all coaches to see who is returning and who is needed. Kevin George has been going as league rep for Jr. Cadets. Football: Pictures were done through Pittman. Action shots of all football and cheering done by Pittman will be on their website. Appreciation day Sept 24 is set. 110’s still looking for game. If no game they will still be part of the day. Steve Wildman requested that the National Anthem be played at the beginning of every game. Use speakers donated by Jeff Gober. Flag b tournament on Oct 22. Steve will set up all details and let us know times for the stand. Vinyl letters for football helmets – letter “N”. Approved. General: Steve Kerbacher will look into a banner to hang at the Recreation Center for the 5&6th grade girls champions from last year. Adjourned
