Little League   (Ages 6-12)   $150

Pony League    (Ages 13-17) $185

Girls Softball (Ages 9-16)   $100 New Program, full uniform, competitive rules... Fees includes all expenses. Registrant must appear in person with a parent or guardian who must present the registrant's birth certificate or certified record of date of birth. A $10 reduction for each additional sibling will be honored. Payment of the registration fee MUST be made at registration and may be in cash or check made payable to F.H.Y.A.A. Due to limited facilities of playing fields, registrants will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. For further information phone 718-544-2296.

Welcome back to another season of Forest Hills Basketball. Opening day for the 2005-06 Season is November 1st. The Official 2005-06 Basketball Season Schedule is now available online for the following divisions:

Parents should received a paper copy of this year's schedule from their team coach. Please check this site often for schedule changes, team standings and other important information.

Game scores are posted as soon as I receive them from league officials. Coaches, please email me if your score was incorrectly posted. I will update the date here each time new scores are posted for that day.

TO ALL REGISTERED PLAYERS

Now that you have registered to play in the Forest Hills Basketball League for the 2011 season your next step is to attend the REQUIRED player evaluations and ratings sessions for your age group according to the schedule shown on these pages. Your “age” is the age you will be on December 31, 2011: 

This year we  will be holding 2 mandatory evaluation sessions: the first round will involve basic skills drills and a limited scrimmage. The second round will involve scrimmages only(with the league administration moving  players from one squad to another as we attempt to balance out each division). 

Ages  9, 10:	Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1
Ages 11, 12:	Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15
Ages 13, 14:	Saturday, Oct. 1 and Wednesday, Oct. 5

Please check the following schedule for your specific time to arrive. The schedule has been prepared alphabetically ACCORDING TO YOUR LAST NAME in order to minimize the overcrowding that previously took place in the waiting area and the length of time parents had to wait for their children to be evaluated. Please do not come at any other time except the one for which you are scheduled. We will NOT take players out of the order set forth on the schedule:

ROUND 1:

Sept. 30 – ages 9, 10
Letters A through I	report at 6:30 pm
Letters J through R	report at 7:00pm
Letters S through Z	report at 7:30 pm

Oct. 14 – ages 11,12
Letters A through I	report at 6:30 pm
Letters J through R	report at 7:00pm
Letters S through Z	report at 7:30 pm

Oct. 1 – ages 13, 14
Letters A through I	report at 1:30 pm
Letters J through R	report at 2:00pm
Letters S through Z	report at 2:30 pm

ROUND 2:

Ages 9, 10	Saturday, Oct. 1 at 9:30 am
Ages 11, 12	Saturday, Oct. 15 at 12:30 pm
Ages 13, 14	Saturday, Oct. 5 at 6:30 pm

All sessions for all dates will be held at Halsey Junior High School located at 102nd Street and 64th Ave, Rego Park. Enter the gym through the metal door on 64th Ave.

Please allow approximately 1 ½ hours for your evaluation session. You may wear shorts or sweatpants, T-shirt or tank top, and you must be wearing sneakers. We suggest you bring a bottle of water with you in case the school fountains are not working. Parents are encouraged to help support our League by purchasing FHBL merchandise while you wait.

The player evaluations and ratings sessions are MANDATORY. It enables us to rate your skill level so that we can form the teams in your division as fairly as possible. Failure to show up for your evaluation makes it impossible for us to know your skill level and to make an informed decision as to where you should be placed. Upon arrival, report to the Reception Desk to register for your evaluation and to receive your numbered tag. Listen carefully for your number to be called – If you don’t listen, you won’t hear the announcement. When you are finished with your evaluation, remove your tag and safety pin before leaving the building.

PARENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE 2ND GYM WHEN ROUND 1 EVALUATIONS ARE TAKING PLACE.

PLEASE DO NOT DISRUPT THE SESSIONS BY TRYING TO PEAK INSIDE.
