South Kingstown Little League will be holding baseball and softball player evaluations on March 3rd and 4th. Please see below for specific details.
Baseball Player Evaluations for all players ages 8 and up, who are interested in playing in either AAA or Majors and are not currently playing at the Major League level, will be held on Saturday, March 3rd from 1-5pm at Bomb Squad Baseball Company on 1174 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale.
A player MUST attend evaluations if he falls into any of the following categories:
12 year old who did NOT play in Majors for SKLL last Spring
10 & 11 year olds who did NOT play in Majors for SKLL last Spring but would like to be evaluated for Majors
All players who would like to be evaluated for AAA
The evaluation times are as follows:
12 year olds (mandatory evaluation for Majors): 1:00 – 1:30
11 year olds who wish to be evaluated for Majors (last names A-L): 1:30 – 2:00
11 year olds who wish to be evaluated for Majors (last names M-Z): 2:00 – 2:30
10 year olds who wish to be evaluated for Majors (last names A-L): 2:30- 3:00
10 year olds who wish to be evaluated for Majors (last names M-Z): 3:00 – 3:30
11 year olds who wish to be evaluated for AAA (ALL): 3:30 – 4:00
10 year olds who wish to be evaluated for AAA (last names A-L): 3:30 – 4:00
10 year olds who wish to be evaluated for AAA (last names M-Z): 3:30 – 4:00
9 year olds who wish to be evaluated for AAA (last names A-L): 4:00 – 4:30
9 year olds who wish to be evaluated for AAA (last names M-Z): 4:30 – 5:00
8 year olds who wish to be evaluated for AAA (ALL): 4:30 – 5:00
Eligible players who do not attend evaluations will not be eligible for the Major League draft. Younger players, and 8-9 year olds who do not want to be considered for AAA, do not need to attend.
Also, please be aware that the registration deadline for Majors is March 3rd. Any player who is not registered by that date cannot play in Majors. If you have not yet registered, you must do so online at skll.org prior to March 3rd or in person at the evaluations.
Softball Player Evaluations will be held on Sunday, March 4th from 1-3pm at Bomb Squad Baseball Company on 1174 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale.
Players new to the Major League division must attend evaluations. Please bring your glove, and your own bat and batting helmet if you have one.
1-2 pm: 9-10 year old evaluations
2-3 pm: 11-12 year old evaluations

Come in from the winter weather and join us for an afternoon of wiffle ball, kickball and dodgeball on Sunday, February 12th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Bomb Squad Baseball Company on 1174 Kingstown Road, Peace Dale. Refreshments will be served!
While you’re there, stop by to chat with league volunteers about baseball and softball and learn about the exciting plans South Kingstown Little League has for the 2012 season! We look forward to seeing all the familiar faces from last season. If you are a returning player, wear your uniform shirt from last year’s team! We also can't wait to welcome new families to SKLL baseball and softball. Please bring a friend (SK resident) or neighbor who might enjoy becoming a part of SKLL 2012.

Registration for the South Kingstown Little League 2012 Spring season is now open! This year, all registrations will be processed online through SportsSignup at www.sportssignup.com/South-Kingstown-Little-League-Online-Registration.start. Both debit/credit cards and checks will be accepted as forms of payment. For those paying by check, a confirmation email will be sent to you that you can print and return to SKLL with your check. Registrations made after the January 31st deadline will be charged a $10 late fee.
If you are a first-time registrant and were unable to attend Walk-in Registration on January 7, please register online and mail copies of your proofs of residency and players' birth certificates to SKLL, PO Box 388, Wakefield, RI 02880. Proofs of residency can be a utility bill, car registration or driver's license, as long as it has your current South Kingstown address on it.
Once you have registered, don't forget to fill out, print and sign a Medical Release Form for each child registered. This form is to be turned into your Team Manager at the first practice.
