*** 2008 SKYHAWK Awards Ceremony *****
2008 Intermediate Division Champions
The Intros played a hard fought defensive game on Saturday, December 6th vs the Lynvet Cardinals at Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale (LI), NY. The game saw some exciting plays but mostly a defensive struggle throughout the match.
With the Lynvets leading 12-8, the Skyhawk defense played tough on the last Lynvet series in the 4th quarter and gave the ball to the offense on the Skyhawk 30 yd. line with only 18 seconds left in the game. After an incomplete pass on 1st down and with only 4 secs. left, Skyhawk QB launched a rocket pass deep into the Lynvet seconadry. Both the Skyhawk WR and Lynvet defender tipped the ball in the air and Skyhawk fullback Anthony Sorrentino caught the tipped pass and raced the remaining 20 yards for the deciding touchdown.
Anthony Sorrentino had continued on his pass route and simply ran to the area where the ball was thrown. His hustle on the play enabled the Skyhawks to score and win the game.
Final score SKYHAWK Intros 14 - Lynvet Cardinals 12

Currently Rahfee, a senior running back, and his Timber Creek HS Wolves have clinched the school's 1st district championship. The Wolves are in the 1st round of the State Playoffs where they face perennial state power Apopka HS on 11/21/08. Earlier in the season, Rahfee was named the Offensive Player of the Week by the Orlando Touchdown Club for his performance in a game vs Evans High School. Rahfee carried the ball for a record 49 times and rushed for 287 yards in the 17-14 win on Mon. 10/27/08. Rahfee's parents and coach were also guests as Rahfee was honored at an awards dinner on 11/3/08 held at the Citrus Bowl's Varsity Club for his efforts vs Evans HS.
Rahfee is currently leading the team with over 1,500 yards rushing and has scored 14 tds. He is a two-year starter at RB for the Wolves.
During the 2006 season, Rahfee (then a sophomore) helped to lead the Junior Varsity team to an undefeated season.
Rahfee wears the #24 jersey and continues the tradition of honoring Skyhawk founder and director James Harris by wearing his former number.
