John Allen has informed the League that our mower will no longer cut grass without a costly and time consuming repair. If anyone has a machine that they would donate or sell to the league at a very fair price, please contact one of the league officers.

The Olde Tymers Softball league started its 16th season in late April. Opening Day was rained out, so league play actually began on May 2nd and featured a short memorial ceremony to commemorate the three veteran OTS players who we lost over the last year. Gary Hayden presided as we remembered Pete Rendina, Bob Carver and John Beck.
This year we have 144 players belonging to 12 teams sponsored by local businesses. This is the largest group we’ve had in our history. The All Out Sports and Harrington Casino teams had unbeaten streaks of 6 and 5 games respectively to begin the season. The other teams in the league are:

The regular season runs through the end of August, and is followed by a 12-team tournament. Be sure to check out the standings as the season progresses, and come out to support your favorite team.
Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the Church of God fields at Routes 113 and 26 in Dagsboro. Enter on Route 26 west of Route 113, turn at the green mail box. Open practices are held on Mondays at 9:00. New players are welcome. Check the weather number (877-839-0500) for game and practice information especially if rain or heat threatens to cancel games.
