Russ Lederman Auditions for Shark Tank

Posted by Tom Wendorf at May 23, 2014 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Hi fellow OTS members -

I'm tying to launch some new products and went on an audition for the TV show Shark Tank at Salisbury University two weeks ago.

I need your votes!

WMDT TV is running a contest. You can watch my audition and have a good laugh at the same time!! Then scroll below the video screen and fill in your name and email, then vote for my Video audition ONCE PER DAY!

I will win $4K if I am top vote getter. I will make a nice donation to OTS if I win. You can vote once per day and have a good laugh at my lame video too!!

I was told I had 60 seconds to make the pitch so I rushed like crazy. They ended up giving me almost 3 minutes. It will supply you with lots of material to make fun of me all season. Then after you make fun of me, I can hit the crap out of the ball to make you babies cry!!!!

Instructions: Go to link below, on a computer I am second row, 12 down. Russel Lederman. On an iPhone I think I am page 2 or 3. Just look for my make and vote. If you know others not in OTS who have good social network, their help would be great too! My daughter is doing her best to help me too.

2014 Season Starts

Posted by Tom Wendorf at May 1, 2014 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The Olde Tymers Softball league started its 17th season on May 1st.

Steve Ackerman conducted a short memorial ceremony for fellow player Norm McLaren whom we lost last fall. Steve spoke of Norm's belief that the impossible is always possible with the right attitude. Norm's wife Diane was in attendance.

After a prayer by Steve, the opening day festivities were turned over to President Bo Wood who introduced a special guest to throw out the first pitch. Long-time OTS member Mike Carta retired from his coaching duties this year, but judging from the pitch he tossed, he may be back as a pitcher next year.

This year we have 156 players belonging to 12 teams sponsored by local businesses. We have set another record for the number ofparticipants. An upcoming News Item will introduce our new sponsors.

Edward Jones and Colonial East started the season with impressive wins over Robinson Furniture (15 - 1) and Peppers Tavern (15 - 3) respectively. B & E Tires and Delmarva LTCI dispensed with Ocean View Family Restaurant (8 -1 ) and American Legion Post #24 (7 - 2), while Fox's Pizza Den and James Joyce snuck out wins against All Out Sports (5 - 2) and Dynamic Physical Therapy (6 - 5).

The regular season runs through the end of August, and is followed by a 12-team tournament. Be sure to check out the standings as the season progresses, and come out to support your favorite team.

Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the Church of God fields at Routes 113 and 26 in Dagsboro. See the Home page of this website for directions and additional information.
