Slocum comes from behind to down West Warwick in game one.

In game one of their quarterfinal series, Slocum Baseball came from behind to defeat West Warwick, 5-3.

Wyatt Daft, who picked up the victory, allowed just two earned runs on five hits and struck out seven batters.

West Warwick took an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning when Dominic Carollo singled, stole second, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Will Cornicelli and scored on an infield hit by Alex Johnson. Later in the inning, Brendan Griffin (walk) scored on a wild pitch and Johnson, who attempted a steal of third base with two outs, scored on an errant throw.

In the bottom of the third inning, Slocum scored two runs on doubles by Max Proulx and Ben Napoli.

Trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Slocum took a 5-3 lead on hits by Hank Martin, Justin McCarthy (rbi double) and Wyatt Daft, who blooped a two-run single over the infield with two outs.
