Unique FHYAA Fund Raiser - GOLD PARTY !!

I am writing to inform you of a great opportunity for the benefit of our children and the Forest Hills Youth Activities Association. Our Association will sponsor a unique fund raising event open to all those who wish to participate and help our league raise money for our children.
On Saturday, February 27th, Stanley & Son Jewelers, a name familiar to many of us, will host a “Gold Party”…turning your old unwanted gold, in any condition, into cash for you with a portion of the proceeds donated directly to the Association. The more gold that’s sold, the greater the benefit to the children of our community. There’s no selling or solicitations…just bring in your old gold and platinum…no matter how much or how little…receive an offer and if it is acceptable to you, you’ll receive cash on the spot. What a great way to make a little (or a lot) of extra cash for the holidays or a family vacation and help the Association profit as well. For additional information, see the enclosed flyer and I hope you will join me in participating in this great event for our children. And don’t forget to invite your family and friends! With gold at record highs, the timing couldn’t be better! Thank you for your interest and willingness to make the “Forest Hills Youth Activities Association” the best it can be.

FH Basketball Basic Training Sessions

Keep this schedule in a safe place since there will be no further communication from the league before the season starts. Please do not expect a phone call telling you when the first session will start – this is your official notification!
All children will be provided with a team shirt and shorts that must be worn at each session. Parents must provide their child with basketball sneakers (no tennis sneakers, no shoes, no sandals, no cleats). It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure your child is properly dressed for basketball. Be advised that the League does not provide transportation and every child’s parent or guardian must stay in the gym during your child’s session. Parents should NOT regard this basketball program as a babysitting service.
WE ENCOURAGE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN THIS CLINIC. COACHES WILL ASK PARENTS TO HELP KEEP THE CHILDREN INVOLVED, FOCUSED AND PARTICIPATING.
If you have a younger child that you will be bringing to the gymnasium, please be sure to keep an eye on them for their own safety. We will provide a junior size basketball hoop in a gym corner for your younger child to play with but parents must keep younger children off the basketball court. You can also bring their favorite game or toy to keep them busy.

The Forest Hills Basketball League In Association with the NJ Nets has a limited amount of tickets for:
Friday, Oct 23 - NJ Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers at 8:00pm
played at St. John's University Carnesecca ArenaSaturday, Nov 7 - NJ Nets vs. Boston Celtics at 7:30pm
played at the Izod Center
Tickets for each game is $20 or $30 each for both games and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. All sales are FINAL. No refunds or returns.
