Sunday Games
Another hot day for second day of the Junior & Senior League State Tournament. In the first game, North oldham knocked off Hazard-Perry 5-3. In the second game Beaver Creek overcame a 15-3 deficit to win 20-18 on Hunter johnson's 3 run walkoff homerun. In the Senior league, South Oldham came back from a 2-0 deficit to win 4-2.
In the First game North oldham defeated Hazard-Perry 5 - 3. For North Oldham had base hits from Brennan Byrd, Seth Russell, Griffin Mclarty, Jaxon Lashley, JacobBates, jackson Mason, and Nick McKinney. For Hazard Perry, Cole ratliff had two hits.
in the 2nd game, Beaver Creek's Hunter johnson hit a walkoff 3 run homerun to beat Richmond 20-18. For Beaver Creek, Dustin Johnson hit a homerun and had three singles. Cameron Blevins, Tanner hamilton. Hunter Johnson, Austin Lawson(2) and Seth hall each had a double. Wyatt Crisp had three hits. Hunter Johnson added a double. For Richmond, Tanner Thornsberry had a double.
In the nightcap South Oldham over came a 2-0 deficit to beat Anderson County 4-2 in the Senior Divison. For South oldham, Evan Coatney pitched a complete game allowing 2 unearned runs, five hits and getting 9 strikeouts. Ticorian Williams had two doubles. Andrew Pennybaker and Matthew hamilton each had one. For Anderson County, unter Phillipes had two singles.
At Prestonburg
North oldham 10's won 13-3 against Prestonburg and the 11's lost to Campbellsville 4-2
For the 10's, Kayia Sheron(2) and Gavin McLarty had two doubles. Trenton Mills(2), Steven Votaw, Gavin McLarty, Ross Pfost, Kaiya Sheron, Austin Reed, Parker Caudill had base hits. Trevor Amburgey and Ross pfost combine to allow prestonburg just three runs.
Valley Sports 12's lost to Russell Flatwoods 8-4.
Junior Softball - Valley Sports lost to Red River 10-4.
Monday Games
It was a hot day as the Junior and Senior League State Tournament entered its third day. In thye first game of the Junior league tournament, North Oldham shutout Lewis County 17-0. in the second game Beaver Creek came away with another dramatic comeback as they beat Hazard-Perry 11-10 in extra innings. In the Senior League, Ashland National eliminated Anderson County 6-4.
In the first game,of the Junior League, For North oldham, they scored 7 runs in each of the first two innnings. Griffin McLarty had two triples. Seth Russell(2), Brennan Byrd, Jaxon Lashleyand Travis Faith had doubles. Jacob Bates had two hits. Mclarty, Lashley and Joey Hackworth combined on a no-hitter.
In the Second game, Beaver Creek scored the winning run in the eighth inning. For Beaver Creek, Cameron Blevinsand Rico Dominguez each had two hits. Dustin Johnson had a triple.Wyatt Crisp had a double. For hazard Perry , Conner Whitaker had two hits.
Iin the Senior League, Ashland National beat Anderson County 6-4. For Ashland, JohnathanBurke, Brandson McDaniel and Hunter Boggs had doubles. Caleb Chambers, Lucas Durr, and Chris Toomey combined for 12 Strikeouts. For Anderson County, Chase Sutherland had two hits and a double.

Saturday Games
with great weather the Junior and Senior League baseball State Tournament got underway at Oldham County High School. Thanks to everyone that hepled make the first day of the tournament a success.
in the first game, Hazard-Perry took on Beaver Creek and came away with 4-2 win. For Hazard Perry, Blake Nidiffer and Blake Lockhart combined for eight strikeouts and allowing nine hits.. Barton Whitaker,Blake Nidiffer, Rudy Akeman, and Griffin Wells had base hits. For Beaver Creek, Wyatt Crisp and Dustin Johnson each had a double and two singles. Seth Hall, Rico Dominguiz and Tanner Hamilton.
In the second game, Lewis County defeated Richmond 15-5. For Lewis County, Seth Wallingford had a triple and two singles. Austin Evans had a triple. Austin Rucker added a double. Trenton Walker had two hits. Jalen Prater picked up the win allowing four hits and getting four strikeouts. For Richmond, Drake Coomer had a double in the first inning and Tanner Thornsberry added one in the fifth inning.
Senior League Baseball: South Oldham picked up a win against Ashland National
AT Prestonburg District 2 teams all won. Valley Sports 12's defeated paintsville 18-2, North oldham's 11's came back on Eastern National to win 6-3 and North oldham's 10's stopped Mercer County 10-0.
In Junior Softball Valley Sports defeated Red River. 14-1.
2012 Prestonburg State Baseball Tournament
