2023 Season Begins
The 2023 Season got underway on May 2 beginning with the Opening Day Ceremony. The day was overcast, but the mood was bright as the players were ready for some softball.
Sky Brady hosted the ceremony which began with the playing of the National Anthem.
OTS President Steve Unger welcomed all attendees and introduced the 2023 Executive Committee and the 2023 team managers and assistant managers.
Steve then introduced the 2023 OTS Hall of Fame inductees that comprised 9 players:

The inductees each threw a ceremonial first pitch.
Pastor Gary Hayden offered a prayer for a successful and safe OTS season and conducted a brief memorial for the 5 former OTS players that passed away in the previous year:

And then it was time for softball!
There are 14 teams with 12 players on each team for the 2023 season. Each team has a sponsor. This year’s team sponsors are:

All the teams are full and there is a list of players that are waiting to get on a team. Players on the Waiting List are filling in as substitutes when needed.

2023 BOWLING TOURNAMENT DATE SET
The 9th Annual OTS Bowling Tournament is scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2023. Registration Starts at 11:30.
Registration is underway and the slots are filling up fast.
Get your registration form filled out and sent in now. Mailing instructions are on the form.

B & E Tires, managed by Steve Carey and John Smart, went undefeated in the 2022 Post-Season Double Elimination tournament to win the championship.
This is the 3rd tournament in a row that the management team of Steve Carey and John Smart has won the post-season tournament.
