Please do connect with us on Facebook and Twitter to get social updates.
This registration form is the primary source of information.
By providing your contact information, you agree to that GKHAT will be providing you correspondence.
This individual is the person that we should attempt to connect. It is important that this individual is accessible and is reviewing communications regularly.
Information for the second parent or guardian is optional. This contact will be used only when we need to. We will send club communications to this individual as well.
Should we be unable to contact the parent (e.g. They be on the hill without service), whom should we contact?
One parent must be insured. Please check “First Child” if you are registering the first child. Please check “Second Child” if you are registering the second or more child. In this way, you will only pay insurance once.
Please check which parent you would like the insurance to be under. It is advisable to use the parent that will primarily be on the hill or volunteering during race times.

With support from funding programs (e.g., Columbia Shuswap Regional District: Grant in Aid) and donations to the club, GKHAT offers financial assistance to families that cannot afford the full program cost for their athlete(s)
Eligibility requires that an application be made to either BC Kidsport (http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/british-columbia/apply-for-assistance/), Canadian Tire Jump Start (https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/content/microsites/jumpstart/en/apply.html#wanttoapply), or the athletics4kids (https://www.a4k.ca/apply_now) programs. A letter from at least one of these programs confirming that an application was submitted will be required.
GKHAT will provide additional funding covering costs above and beyond those not covered by these funding programs. For example, if you receive $400 from KidSport, Jumpstart, or Atheletics4Kids (a4k) and the total program costs for your athlete is $850, GKHAT may provide up to an additional $450 of financial support at the discretion of the GKHAT board of directors. Participation in the program will be confidential and GKHAT will not require your personal financial information.
To apply for financial assistance:
1. Please check the box if requesting financial assistance:
2. Please submit confirmation from BC Kids Sport, Canadian Tire Jumpstart, and Athletics4Kids to the GKHAT board: email@example.com by no later than November 15, 2018. Please be sure apply to these programs as early as possible to avoid delays processing your request and ensure funding is available.
Please be aware that GKHAT holds an annual auction. This auction is a key source of funding for the club. As a result, we require that all GKHAT members provide one item per athlete for the auction. Of course, if you have the resources, such as access to businesses that could donate item, please do contact them and provide a larger participation. Every bit helps.
Auction items are to be provided before November 11. The auction itself will run from November 19 to 26.
More information will be provided as the season progresses.
Please be aware that GKHAT is a volunteer run organization and as such relies heavily on its membership to run its programs. The club hosts three race events a season and requires the participation of parents to run them successfully. There are many ways to fullfill the volunteer commitment (on and off snow) required to run a strong and successful program.
More information on volunteer needs can be found in the Parent Handbook and will be provided as the season progresses.
The parent handbook can be found here: http://www.gkhat.ca/clubs/3805/documents/175704
