The Village School Girls Basketball program is leading their 2nd Annual “Vikings vs Cancer Day.” The date will be next Tuesday, February 2nd. All students and staff will be encouraged to wear PINK. There is also a basketball game at 6:00PM that night, as the Lady Vikings Basketball Team takes on Northland Christian.

For anyone interested, we are offering an opportunity to purchase a VIKINGS vs CANCER PINK T-SHIRT. The cost of the shirt is $20. All proceeds from the shirt will be donated to a Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Diane Staff. Diane is an Kindergarten Teacher at The Village School who is courageously battling Cancer. Anyone who knows Diane understands that she displays the type of SERVANT LEADERSHIP, which we all want to see from our students. Despite everything going on in her own life, Diane continues to make it her mission to serve her family, friends, students, and co-workers.

Please help us honor Diane Staff, as well as anyone else who has battled Cancer, by wearing PINK on Tuesday, February 2nd. If you would like to purchase a t-shirt, please send your name, room #, & shirt size to Coach Brotherton by 9AM tomorrow (Wednesday, January 30th). Undefeated.

The Varsity boys soccer team won their home district game last night against Cypress Christian by a score of 6-1. With that win, the Vikings improved their overall record to 13-0. While the Vikings are still unblemished in the loss column, the boys have battled through their fair share of adversity throughout the year. As of late, the team has sustained a few injuries and adopted a “next man up” philosophy. In doing so, the defending State Champions have really shown their depth of talent, and most of all, their resilience. With 5 games remaining in their regular season, and a roster that is starting to get healthy, the boys are looking to finish off their regular season schedule on a positive note, setting the tone for their run at a 2nd straight TAPPS 4A State Championship.

The Vikings next home district game is on Monday, February 11th, at 6:00pm. See you on the pitch!
