Tonight will be the start of the 2006-2007 North Coast High School Hockey League Playoffs at Ice Land USA in Strongsville.
The Bears have had a tough go of it since after the holidays. The bench has become shorter and shorter due to injuries and sickness, and the Bears deserve credit for hanging on as well as they could in the latter half of the season.
The Bears placed seventh in the NCHSHL after 10 league games. They will be playing against Medina @ 7:30 PM. Good luck, Bears!
The Bears participated in the Jackson Holiday Tournament, and it proved to be filled with very exciting, on-the-edge-your-seat games! The Bears started off with a loss in their first game vs. Hoover, 6-2. However, the Bears picked it up vs. Rocky River in the second game--the game was neck-in-neck, but the Bears pulled out a victory with a score of 6-4. The third game proved to be an action-packed event, resulting in another victory vs. Jackson, 7-3. It was a very close tournament, and the boys have lots to be proud of!
Rest up and get ready for the league games to resume after the New Year!!!
The Bears played their first and second league games this weekend and ended up with one win (7-4 vs. Mooney Ursuline) and one loss (5-2 vs. Lakewood Club).
The Bears play Archbishop Hoban on Thursday in Akron/Canton in a non-league game. Sunday brings them another home league game vs. Riverside at Ice Land USA. Good luck, boys!
