While our season didn’t end exactly how any of us wanted it to, we still had a great one. We will be celebrating our season immediately following closing ceremonies with a gathering at the Strachan household.

CLOSING CEREMONY:

Please be up to field 1 no later than 11:15am in uniform (JERSEY AND HAT ONLY…WEAR SHORTS) and ready to pick up some hardware!

TEAM PARTY

This will be picnic style…in other words, bring what you want to eat. No sign ups, no coordinating, just bring the food, kid beverages, and adult beverages your family needs. I will have my BBQ ready to go for everyone as well. See additional info below:

We have had a great start to our season. The team is playing well and improving each game, and all families are contributing to their success! Now it’s time for a gathering AWAY from the fields! On Sunday, March 31st at 12pm we will be gathering at Coach Greg’s house for an afternoon of food, fun, and swimming (the pool is 85 degrees). This will be picnic style…in other words, bring what you want to eat. No sign ups, no coordinating, just bring the food, kid beverages, and adult beverages your family needs. Excellent start to the season last Saturday! Tomorrow’s Game 2 is scheduled with a 4:45 PM START. Please have players to the field by 4:00 PM for PREGAME WARM-UP. WE WILL BE ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE. We will only have 15 minutes before infield practice begins. Every second counts.

Just a reminder that as home team, we are in charge of field setup. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT OUR COACHES ARE PREPARING THE PLAYERS FOR THE GAME. Thank you for all of your continued support in helping place your player in the best position to be successful!

Finally…the wait is over! Our first hit of the season (since we are visitor’s Saturday) is less than 24 hours away. Players must be to the field (meaning in the dugout) one hour before first pitch for every game this season. We have a very set warm up schedule due to the finite amount of time allowed. It is critical your player is on time to put them in the best position to be successful.

Here is what tomorrow looks like:

8:00am: All players are at Field 2 in the 3rd base dugout
9:00am: IT’S ON! TIME TO BRING IT!
11:15am: PICTURE TIME. Players will go directly from our game to the photo location behind Field 4. Player forms must be filled out BEFORE 11:15am. There is a very tight schedule the photographers must keep in order to not run behind.

We are just a few days away from our season getting underway! Can’t wait! Here is the game plan the next few days:

Wednesday
Regular practice at 4:15pm but on field 1. Please pay Coach Greg or Team Mom Sarah Orr $14 for the uniform and banner by this Thursday.

Thursday
Batting practice in the PALL cages. We will break up into three groups as we did earlier in February with the same assigned times. If this time no longer works, please TEXT Coach Greg ASAP.

4:00-4:30pm: Roman, Aidan, Cooper, Weston
4:30-5:00pm: Tyler, Alex, Jimmy, Colin
5:00-5:30pm: Levi, Brodie, Ava, Ben

Saturday
OPENING DAY!!! Everyone received an email from PALL already, but just make sure all players are to field 1 no later than 9am in FULL UNIFORM.

Game 1: Angels vs. A’s. It’s ON! All players need to be on the field 1 hour before 1st pitch to warm up for all game this season. Please ensure your player arrives on time, if not early. I can’t stress strongly enough that when a player arrives late, they miss valuable warm up time that cannot be made up. That hour allows the team to warm up and focus on the game. For Saturday, all players need to be to field 2 between 1:45-2:00pm. We begin our warm up promptly at 2pm. With that being said, should a situation come up at any time this season, please text Coach Greg ASAP.
