Albert Lea Lakers

The defending champion Albert Lea Lakers are excited to announce the signing of Austin Portner. Portner, a Sioux Falls native joins the Lakers from Butler Community College where he plays infield. Portner was named All-Region in 2018, and his team captured the South Dakota state championship in 2017.

Coach Pete Sitorius believes “Austin will be a real good addition to the Lakers, and I’m very excited about his ability to play multiple positions, I look for him to play a few positions around the infield. He comes from a good high school program (SF Roosevelt) and I think his experience in big games will come in handy this summer”.
