Your child will ignite their passion for creativity and performance while participating in unique experiences with musicians from across America’s region at the first Nord Anglia Education Performing Arts Festival in collaboration with The Juilliard School. Hosted at North Broward Preparatory School (“NBPS”) near Miami, Florida, this is an exciting event where your child will have the opportunity to experience the best of South Florida’s unique musical culture.

The Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival is a dynamic program running March 31 – April 4, 2019, that unites students ages 11-18 from Nord Anglia Education’s14 schools across the Americas. Students will build relationships and expand their musicianship through engaging workshops, rehearsals, and performances.

Your child will learn from renowned educators and artists affiliated with The Juilliard School. The trip will culminate in a performance at the New World Center in Miami.

We encourage all of you to come out for our high-flying – action adventure inaugural all-school musical production of Peter Pan, the Broadway Musical! The show dates are November 8, 9, 10, and 11.

Our kindergarten and first-grade students have been studying the Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo. Each student has created a portrait of the artist, while learning about her native language, Spanish, and incorporating it into their portraits. We are amazed at the work that is being created by our young artists under the guidance of Mrs. Hainsworth.

On Saturday, September 15, the Wind Ensemble had 3 students participate in the Florida All-State Auditions. They prepared scales and challenging musical excerpts during the summer in anticipation of Saturday’s state-wide auditions. We will be sent a list of the top students selected throughout Florida for this prestigious ensemble in November. I am very proud of Gavin Dong, Rayyan Shaik and Conner Totilas for their commitment and preparation as they represented WPS at this year’s auditions.
