Tough loss on opening weekend for the under 12 boys vs Burnaby. We started out a little slow and made some poor choices to start the game giving up 4 quick goals to easy give aways in our own end. Rhyse was left in a tough spot one on one with their centre forward each time. The boys rallied toward the end of the half and started the second half with a new perspective. Ryan, charlie and jonah connected on many runs to get prime scoring opportunities that ailed to end in a goal. Even after 6 corners with Jake and charlie at the helm the boys were still not able to connect. The score wound up 5-0 but the team showed its colours to dominate the second half. It was nice however to see our newest members Sean and Ryan get their first game under their belt. The big surprise was Rhyse standing in net and showing he has the skill to play the position making some key saves in the second half keeping the score at 5.
