This U13 player from PSU’s Select Red team hit an amazing record this week of juggling the ball 259 times without it hitting the ground. In addition to juggling, he is also very good at deadball situations like free kicks and corners.
That’s a phenomenal number for anyone, and really incredible for a 12 year old. The team, coached by Brian Schmidt, has time once a week at practice for juggling, and their scores are recorded. The secret to success is when a player takes the task home and does it on his own. Juggling translates to good ball skills and technique on the field.

Wrapping up a nice fall tournament schedule with a 2nd Championship at the Mequon Fusion Fall Cup, the U13 red, coached by Brian Schmidt, celebrate after a well played final match, winning 2-0.
Coach Schmidt said, “We played really well in both the Sport Club tournament last weekend and the Fusion tournament this weekend. Competition was much better this weekend and we beat Fusion Premier twice, which is quite the accomplishment. Our defenders showed great discipline in holding the line and getting Fusion offside about 12 times in the final. We are learning the triangle midfield and while our possession has a long way to go, we have been effective controlling games. Great start to the year boys.”
Congratulations to the U16 Girls Red team for winning their State Championship play-in game over SC Waukesha 2-1. The girls have now advanced to the group stage, which will be held October 15th, 16th, and 22nd at Uihlein Soccer Park. Elise Rades scored both goals with the winner coming with only 6 minutes left to play. The game was really a battle in the midfield where Emily Newcomer and Chloe Boucher had great games for PSU. The defense was solid all night and adjusted well in the 2nd half when SC changed their shape to 4-4-2 and added a 2nd striker up top. It was a very exciting win for the girls, and for PSU! Congratulations!
