U15 boys Red (Diebert)
U17 boys Red (Pierce)

Presidents Cup Overview
The Wisconsin Presidents Cup is the first round en route to a National Title. Winners at the state level compete in the Regional Presidents Cup and Regional Winners move on to the National Presidents Cup. The Presidents Cup is a soccer tournament designed to provide teams that do not participate in the US Youth Soccer National Championships Series, the US Youth Soccer National League or the Midwest Regional League the opportunity to participate in a series of events that lead to the National Presidents Cup Championship. Teams losing WYSA State Championship play-in games will be eligible to enter the competition.

U18 & U11 boys momentum continues

Posted by PSU Communications at May 18, 2017 7:54PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

An absolutely fantastic weekend for PSU U18s & U11 boys, both coached by Zach Papanikolaou, competing against the best teams in the state at the Lake Shore United Tournament.

The U11s bounced right back after playing tremendously strong competition and won their final game, finishing the tournament with a 1-2 record, making tremendous progress against consistently tough competition. I’m really happy with the attitude and involvement from all of the players, especially as we’ve played tournaments back to back weekends against challenging opponents. Excellent accomplishment for the U11 team.

The story of the tournament is an absolutely tremendous continuation of our U18 team from the previous weekend at Uihlein, playing against regional and premier teams, finishing the Lake Shore tournament with an incredible 2-1 record. One of the victories was an absolutely stunning one, against the outstanding (higher division) Madison 56ers Soccer Club, with a score of 3-2. This is absolutely what any coach would like to see – great progress and improvement. These U18 boys are playing premier level soccer and PSU should be proud of the tremendous success of their U18 team.

Newcomers to our club are so very happy to be here on this team and they want to stay and play, and the returning players and parents are just as excited as Coach Zach for this season of success to continue!

Congratulations to U18 boys for taking 3rd in Lake Shore tournament out of so many outstanding teams there. And also congratulations to the U11s for posting a fantastic victory there against high level competition.

U12G Red, coached by Emily Sowinski, win SC Waukesha tournament. Congratulations to all the girls for outstanding play this weekend at the SC Waukesha tournament.  It all started with a very exciting 4-4 tie Friday night followed by 3 shutout victories, garnering the point count for a tournament championship.

U14/15G Red Runner Up at Flatgrass

Posted by PSU Communications at May 18, 2017 7:43PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

U14/15G RED, coached by Baz Greenaway, won deserved runners-up medals at the Neenah Scheels Flatgrass tournament on 13th/14th May.

The girls put in a superb performance in their opening game to defeat hosts Neenah Sparks 1-0 thanks a second half strike from Brooke Robinson after great work from Morgan Rubelowski following an Ella Rades free kick.

A comfortable 3-0 win against Fond du Lac followed with goals from from Valerie Wallace (2) and Lauren Schaefer to set up a championship decider against FC Menasha. In a tight, tense encounter the girls lost narrowly 0-1.

They completed the tournament with a 5-2 win against a plucky Viking Youth with Brooke Robinson and Valerie Wallace both notching braces and Sarah Wegener scoring with a brilliant header from an Ella Rades corner.

An excellent weekend for the girls with some fine performances that were great preparation for their upcoming President’s Cup campaign in Wisconsin Dells next weekend.
