Carter Unger Breaks School Pole Vault Record!
Congratulations to Carter Unger who had a record breaking pole vault of 10’6" in the first track meet of the season! WOW! Carter breaks her own school record at the Coaches Classic with a vault of 11’6"! Way to go Carter!
Wrestling Individuals
Chapin Qualifies 6 for State Wrestling Tournament
On February 17-18, the Chapin Eagles hosted the Lower State Individual tournament and earned 6 State Qualifiers. The Eagles were lead by First-Place finishers Dylan Whitcomb (120 pounds), Cole Haile (195 pounds), and Hank Manos (285 pounds). Taylor Cabe (138 pounds) won his consolation bracket to place third. Cole Hodges (145 pounds) and Shawn Haile (160 pounds) rounded out Chapin’s qualifiers with fourth-place finishes. The Eagles provided many bouts of exciting wrestling. Chapin earned 31 victories at the tournament .and finished second in team pointsThe State Tournament will be held on February 24-25 in Anderson, SC where eight wrestlers from each weight class will square off to battle for the title of State Champion. Go Eagles.
