Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

It looks like we are finally out of the deep freeze and on our way to Spring. Personally, I had no idea how warm 38 degrees could feel until yesterday. As we are now 1 week away from the official start of our season, I wanted to give everyone the latest list of housekeeping items for you to look into and take care of before next Monday.

First, and this is the MOST important, please make sure you have been cleared in PRIVT to participate. If you are not cleared by Monte Seabaugh at the LSW Athletics Office, I will be forced to turn you away on next Monday and you will not be allowed to participate until you are cleared. If you have questions on what you need to complete, please reach out to Monte Seabaugh in the Athletics Office. If you need a Sports Physical, please take care of that ASAP and make sure it’s uploaded into PRIVT by next Monday!

Second, our LSW LAX Fundraiser at Martin City Brewing Company Pizza is tomorrow night between 5pm – 9pm. Make sure to mention “LSW LAX Fundraiser” when you order. Share this information with everyone you know (Facebook is a great start).

Third, due to our cancellations on Sunday evenings for the Chiefs games and weather, I was able to schedule an additional Sunday night indoor session this upcoming Sunday 28 FEB from 7pm to 9pm. We will have the entire team there for the whole 2 hours. Face coverings are still required.
To all Seniors, we want to take photos for your Senior Banners at 6:30pm at Lakeland on Sunday before indoor practice starts. Please bring your entire uniform (skirt and jersey) for the picture.

Fourth, outdoor practices will start next Monday at 5pm sharp on the outdoor field right behind the tennis courts. Practice times are 5pm-7pm, but until we turn the clocks forward on the 14th, we will be going from 5pm until dusk. Practices will be Monday – Thursday 5pm-7pm for the entire season (except for game days). We will need to stay flexible on these outdoor practices as we will need to overcome weather, wet fields, etc…I will do my best to communicate where we will practice on any given day in plenty of time.

Lastly, if anyone is interested in ordering a Boathouse jacket, the online store to order one will be open starting today and will be open all week. Please follow the instructions below:

I hope everyone is staying warm (especially during the rolling blackouts). I completely forgot to mention our LAX Club’s fundraiser in my weekly email yesterday, so I wanted to give everyone the details.

When: 23 FEB 2021 between 5pm – 9pm

How: Mention “LSW Lax Fundraiser” when you order. You can do: Dine-in, Carry-out, Curbside, Delivery

Make sure to mention the “LSW LAX Fundraiser” when ordering, or we won’t get the credit towards the LAX club. Share this information with your Facebook friends, family, neighbors, people you like, people you don’t like, etc…we get credit for every “mention” during that time frame.

Mark your calendars so you don’t forget. Fundraisers like these allow the club to keep costs from going up year to year, helps us purchase equipment for the coaching staffs, etc…so any way you can help without players having to sell candy bars, trash bags, etc… would be greatly appreciated. And the food is really good too!

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is staying warm…it looks like we only have a couple of more days of these frigid temps. Hard to even imagine that our “Spring” season starts 2 weeks from today. With that being said, I just wanted to pass along some housekeeping items.

1. This upcoming Sunday will be our 8th and final week of indoor. I realize that we have canceled a few of these weeks between the Chief’s run to the Superbowl and because of weather. I spoke to the church this morning and was able to get a 3rd hour added to this Sunday’s session, which means each group of players will have 90 mins each. So, here’s the time breakdown:

A-K 5:00pm – 6:30pm
L-Z 6:30pm – 8:00pm

2. I just checked our PRIVT site. There are a handful of players with expired sport’s physicals. Please get these completed and uploaded into the PRIVT site prior to 1 MARCH. Also, just uploading the sports physicals is not enough…there are some electronic documents you’ll need to review and sign as well before you can be marked 100% compliant by the sport’s office. Please log into your PRIVT site to see what you still need to complete.

3. Invoices for all players should have gone out to everyone already from our Club Treasurer (Dalila Perry). Mrs. Stewart will be accepting payments by check if you are not comfortable with using an electronic method of payment.

4. US Lacrosse membership MUST be current and MUST NOT expire before the end of the season. I need everyone to please make sure your USL membership is current through the end of May 2021.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is staying warm. I just wanted to let everyone know that the 2021 Varsity schedule has been posted. I have saved it as a pdf file and attached it to this email for your viewing. Please note a couple of things when looking at this schedule:

1. This schedule is subject to change.

2. We will be losing our home stadium to construction starting on 14 APRIL. In an effort to be able to get in as many home games as possible, we have scheduled all of our home games between 22 March and 14 April. The only way the league could accommodate our request to play as many home games as possible by 14 April and not play during Spring Break was to schedule only 4 home games for us instead of 5. We will play Shawnee Mission away both times.

3. For all time slots in this schedule that are 7:00pm, the JV game will be played at 5:30pm. For the game times that are 4:30pm, the JV game will be played after (around 6pm). As for the Blue Valley away game, I will need to confirm if the JV is before or after the Varsity game.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

First and foremost, I hope everyone is staying warm. Rumor has it that we won’t see temps above 32 degrees until 19 FEB…so please stay warm and stay safe.
Secondly, I know last night’s game was not the outcome we wanted. The Chiefs still had a great season, and has gone to the Superbowl for the last 2 seasons, and if we didn’t lose in overtime 2 seasons ago in the AFC Championship, it would have been 3. A great team like this will look at this as an opportunity to learn from it and work even harder next year.

Our first draft of the upcoming schedule has been posted. It showed us having 2 games during Spring Break (which seems to happen every season). I have requested them to reschedule those 2 games. I am waiting to hear back from the league scheduler. If they will not change it, please let me know if you will be out of town traveling over Spring Break so the coaching staff can start looking at the roster of available players for that week. Again, let’s see if they reschedule those games first.

We are now 3 weeks away from the official start of the Spring season (and Varsity tryouts)…so here’s a recap of your to-do list before 1 MARCH:

- Make sure your US Lacrosse membership is active and current, and does NOT have an expiration date between now and 1 JUNE. The membership MUST be active throughout the season. I cannot allow anyone on the field without an active USL membership.

- Make sure you have a current sports physical on file AND uploaded into the LSW PRIVT website. The Athletics Office will NOT accept paper copies. I have attached the PRIVT how-to document for your review if you need it. If you are not sure if your physical is current, reach out to Monte Seabaugh at LSW and ask her to confirm. If you are NOT cleared on PRIVIT, I will be forced to turn you away on Day 1.

- You may see an invoice coming into your inbox from our LSW LAX Club’s Treasurer (Dalila Perry) with invoicing for this upcoming season. If you have received an invoice, please square up with the club as soon as you can as we use those funds to pay for our referees, league dues, etc…
