Happy Monday, Lady Titan LAX Family.
I know I haven’t reached out to you in a while. As we get closer to the start of the new school year, I wanted to touch base with everyone on what’s coming up in the Lady Titan’s LAX schedule.

AUG 27 (Oklahoma Baptist Univ LAX Clinic) – Free lacrosse clinic hosted by LS North LAX Club. 12pm – 3pm at LS North Practice fields. Clinic will be run by the OBU Head Coach (Coach Beech) and current OBU players. I highly recommend everyone attend this if you can.

Sept 5 – 25 OCT (Tuesday night Fall indoor sessions) – Lakeland Church from 8pm – 10pm. Cost is $60. Please bring as much spare lax equipment as you have. We have about 12-15 new girls that expressed interest in playing lacrosse during schedule pick-up last week, but they do not have equipment yet.

OCT 2 – 30 OCT (Sunday 7v7 League) – Games are scheduled for Sunday afternoon double-headers like last fall. I believe the games will be played at the Blue Valley Sports Complex at 135th & Switzer like last year. We currently have 18 girls from LSW signed up to play. If we can get 6 more (plus another goalie), we would have enough for 2 teams and much more playing time for every player. If you haven’t signed up, please consider signing up at www.kcmgla.com . If you have signed up, get your teammates to sign up! Let’s dominate the league this fall and put the other teams on notice that we’ll be ready for them in the spring.

DEC 2016 (Lacrosse Registration for Spring 2017) – Actual dates are TBD, but plan on attending registration around this time.

3 JAN 2017 – 21 FEB 2017 (Tuesday Night Winter Indoor Sessions) – Lakeland Church from 8pm – 10pm. Cost is $60.

Hope to see everyone soon. I cannot wait to get on the field again to prepare for the best lacrosse season ever for this club. Let’s not stop until we own both championship trophies by the end of the season. Let’s get ready to work!

Hello Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is having a great summer. As most of you have already heard, Coach Jordan has accepted the offer to be the next Head Coach at Lee’s Summit HS. I think it goes without saying that everyone on the team, both player and coach, will dearly miss having Jordan with us on the fields. She has been a great coach over the last 3 seasons, and has done great things for both the players and the program during her tenure here at LSW. I am confident that she will do great things at the LSHS program, and it will be a pleasure to coach against her for seasons to come. I wish her the best of luck in this next chapter in her coaching story.

For next season, the coaching staff has decided to not bring on another assistant coach, so we have made some minor adjustments in the position coaching assignments. They will be as follows for next season:

Jay H – Head Coach/Goalkeepers
Brian C – Attack
Casie S – Midfielders
Chris C – Defense/Conditioning

These coaching assignments will be for both the JV and Varsity teams.

Moving forward, I am truly excited for next season. Currently, we have players participating in summer lax programs for both Midwestern Force and Blue Lions, as of today we have 17 girls registered for Fall 7v7, and we have indoor sessions at Lakeland about 6 weeks away. We have a lot of momentum going into next season, and I truly hope we can keep it going until we win both championship trophies next May.

Hello Lady Titan Lax Family,

I hope everyone is having a great summer. I know I haven’t reached out in a while, so I just wanted to touch base with all of you. I received an email from a league representative today in reference to the Fall Ball 7v7, so I wanted to pass along some info.

The KC Metro Lleague is looking for teams of at least a minimum of 12. I am hoping we have enough interest to put together 2 teams with subs. The league will have games on Sunday afternoons starting on 2 OCT and going through 30 OCT. No price has been announced yet. The league plans on opening registration on 1 JULY (they had originally announced 1 JUNE, but pushed it back a month). Register early on the league website (www.kcmgla.com) around 1 JULY.

As for indoor sessions, I have already reserved indoor space a Lakeland Church for our indoor “fundamentals & conditioning” sessions. This will be a perfect time for new girls who may be interested in playing to try out the sport. Sessions will be $60 per session.
Fall session will be on Tuesday nights from 8pm – 10pm from 6 SEPT thru 25 OCT.
Winter session will be on Tuesday nights from 8pm – 10pm from 3 JAN 2017 thru 21 FEB 2017.

Registration for the next season will most likely be around the first week of December. Actual dates TBD.

- Fall 7v7 League – The registration link was “supposed” to be available on 1 JUNE…but it looks like the web page admin at the league has not loaded it yet. Keep checking the www.kcmgla.com website. Once it’s available, please consider participating in this league. The girls who did it last year enjoyed it.

- Fall Indoor Sessions – I have already reserved dates for indoor sessions at Lakeland Church. This would be a great opportunity for new players to “try it out” before registration. If you are recruiting someone to play next season, this would be the time for them to come out. The Fall dates will be 6 SEPT – 25 OCT (Tues nights from 8pm – 10pm). Spread the word!
