Happy Monday Lady Titan LAX family,

First, I would like to welcome the returning players and parents back for yet another season. Secondly, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new players and parents to the Lady Titan LAX Family. For all of those new to this, you are in for quite a ride this upcoming Spring. Now that we have completed registration this past week, I wanted to send a quick note out to everyone to let you know what’s coming up over the next few months.

DEC ’16 – no lax activities
3 JAN ’17 – indoor sessions start at Lakeland Community Church. Every Tues night in JAN and FEB from 8-10pm. Cost is $60, which you can bring on the first night. The final night of indoor is 21 FEB.
27 FEB ’17 – official start of the Spring 2017 season. We will start outdoor practices (weather permitting) at LSW. Practices will be from 5pm – 7pm (or dark, whichever comes first). Practices will be Mon – Thurs (no practices on Fridays). 27 FEB – 2 MARCH will also be Varsity Tryouts.
Week of 20 MARCH – Spring Break. No Practices
Week of 27 MARCH – League games begin. Schedules will be posted sometime in FEB, which I will post on Teampages when available.

I will send out more information as it comes along as I am sure I missed some activities in this short list above. I will also be scheduling a mandatory parent meeting the same evening as the Spring “Clash of the Titans” session sometime in early MARCH. If you have already attended one of the “Clash” sessions this school year, you’ll not need to attend another, but I will still want the parents to attend my meeting later that evening. I’ll send out more details as that date comes closer.

That’s it for now. The coaching staff is very excited to get started, and we are excited to get the season started. We have a JV Championship to defend, and we have some unfinished business on the Varsity side.

Please have a Happy Holiday season…and we’ll see everyone next year.
Go Titans!

~Coach Jay.

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

Registration is quickly approaching, and I just wanted to send another reminder out to everyone. Below is a list I provided in an earlier email, but I also have a few additions, so please do me a favor and look over them again. I promise, the more of these you take care of before registration, the easier (and hopefully faster) registration will be.

Please note – all players should bring their Chromebook with them to registration just in case you will need to access any sites online (i.e. Teampages, US Lacrosse, etc…) during your visit.

1. Registration will be over 2 evenings on 6 DEC and 8 DEC at LSW Bateman Hall from 4pm – 7pm.
2. Please make sure that returning players try on their uniforms prior to registration in case you need to order a new uniform.
3. Please make sure your US Lacrosse membership is renewed prior to registration. Have your USL number and expiration date with you at registration. The expiration date must be after 1 JUNE 2017 to be considered valid for the upcoming season.
4. Please make sure that each player and at least one parent has a profile on Teampages (preferably with the texting option activated).
5. Please make sure you have a valid sports physical for the upcoming season. If you have one from another school sport, please bring a copy of it to registration.
6. Please bring your medical insurance card with you to registration.
7. Please bring your checkbook.
The registration process can be fairly pain-free if you have all of these items above taken care of. For new players, you’ll also have the opportunity to pick your player’s jersey number from available numbers, and get sized for the uniforms. We’ll also be taking orders for Boathouse jackets. Expect to pay about $110-$120 for the jacket.
After the holidays, we’ll start another indoor session at Lakeland Church on Tuesday nights from 8-10pm on 3 JAN 2017.

On another note, all access onto the practice fields behind the tennis courts has been suspended per Jereme Hubbard. He has asked that nobody use those fields so they will be well rested and ready for the Spring season. Please do NOT use these fields for anything lacrosse-related.

That being said, the faculty sponsors, LSW Lacrosse Board, and the coaching staff would like to wish that everyone have a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday. If you are traveling out of town, please travel safe, and we will see each other during registration.
