Lady Titan LAX Family,

For all those on the JV squad going to Columbia on 8 APRIL, I have received our game times and opponents. Here are the details:

8 APRIL
- 10:00 am vs Arkansas —> Field #2
- 12:00pm vs Jenks (OK) —> Field #2
- 3:30pm vs Columbia —> Field #1

As you can see, there is a long break after our noon game…we will have from about 1pm to 3pm to hang out, rest our feet, get something to eat, etc…

I recommend that everyone bring lawn chairs, as bleachers are really not available. If anyone has a portable canopy, please bring it so we can stay out of the sun (hopefully it’s a beautiful sunny day like last year). If anyone would like to coordinate sandwiches (like Jimmy Johns or Subway), we can have parents donate money to the cause. We won’t need to eat too much because we are planning on going to Shakespeare’s afterwards…our best bet may be to just have parents bring fruit and snacks (i.e. bananas and orange wedges).

I plan on leaving for CoMo no later than 7am on the 8th…if any player needs a ride, please let a coach know as soon as possible so we can help coordinate. If any parent has room in their vehicle and can offer a ride to a player who needs one, please let me know.

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is planning on having an awesome Spring Break this week. I just wanted to get everyone up to speed as our games start on the week of 27 MARCH.

- No practices this week.
- We were planning on having a scrimmage with Coach Jordan and the LSHS team sometime this week, but it looks like Mother Nature is going to get in the way. If we have a good day, we may give it a try. We are looking at Wed, Thurs or Fri. I will send a text out if we decide we want to give it a try.
- Games start the week of 27 March. The game calendar on Teampages (click the “Calendar” link) is the most up to date schedule at any given moment. You can also log into www.kcmgla.com and look up our schedule there as well.
- Our first game is no longer Monday 27 March…that Varsity-only game vs Pembroke has been moved to 10 APRIL. That makes our first game on Friday 31 March vs Park (at Park). The JV game is scheduled for 4:45pm and the Varsity is scheduled for 6:00pm. This is going to make it tough logistically as we need to be there by 4pm to start stretching and warming up. That means we’ll have to leave LSW’s parking lot at 3:00pm to get to Lakeview Middle School in time. The address is:

I recommend everyone bring chairs to sit on as the satellite photo does not show any bleachers (or a small set). Any parent willing to drive please meet me at LSW by 2:50pm so we can get all 38 girls up to the Park area in time.
- As for out of town play dates, we are committed to two. Here are the details:
- The JV team will travel to Columbia, MO on 8 APRIL to play. We plan this as a day-trip, so no hotel stay is needed (unless you want to). All games will be played at Cosmo Park. The address is:
1615 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202 We will play on Field FB-5 on the South-Eastern part of the park. We will also plan on going to Shakespear’s Pizza (the one closest to Cosmo Park at
3304 W Broadway Business Park Ct, Columbia, MO 65203) after our last game so we can get some grub before heading back home.
- The Varsity team is committed to play in St. Louis on 22 APRIL. This will be a round-robin play date where 3 KC area teams will play 3 STL area teams. They are expecting on playing all 9 games (we play 3 of them) throughout the day on Saturday…it will be a busy date. Because we will start in the morning, we will need to stay in a hotel the night before. Mr. Rasdall has reserved us a block of rooms…here are the details.

We will need to stay the night on Friday 21 APRIL
Guests in our group will need to directly call Marriott Reservations at 1 (800) 321-2211 or (314) 997-1200 on or before Friday, March 31, 2017, (the “Cutoff Date”) to make their sleeping room reservations. Please advise guests to identify themselves as part of the Lee’s Summit Lacrosse 17U Room Block group staying at the Courtyard St. Louis Westport Plaza, located at 11888 Westline Industrial Dr, St. Louis, MO 63146.

Continental Breakfast will be provided to the guests of Lee’s Summit Lacrosse 17U Room Block in an alternative space or a meeting room (pending availability). Room rate is $84.

Reservations must be confirmed with a card; however, Mr Rasdall will pay for the rooms on a single district card utilizing the tax exempt. Payment for rooms will then be made by cash or check to “LSW LAX” & given to Dean Rasdall. For those who wish to use their personal payment, for points or miles, you may still do that but lose the 15+% tax exempt.

Good Morning Lady Titan Lacrosse Family,

I wanted to give everyone an update on what’s coming up for the next week. It looks like Mother Nature has not received the memo that we should start seeing Spring-like weather, so we’ll be doing our best to manage practices this week. Here’s what’s coming up:

> Monday 13 March – Indoor practice in the aux gym from 5-7pm. High’s in the 30’s.
> Tuesday 14 March – I have requested the aux gym. High’s in the 30’s.
> Wednesday 15 March – I have request the aux gym. Highs in the 30’s.
> Thursday 16 March – I want to try to have practice outdoors…the highs are projected to be in the 50’s.

Then we move into Spring Break…we are not planning any organized practices.
Our games will start the week of 27 March. Our first game is currently scheduled for 27 March, but the Pembroke coach has reached out to me and requested that we reschedule. I have not received confirmation that the game has been changed yet, so I am still working on the assumption that the game is still on as scheduled.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I apologize for getting this weekly email out a day late. Here’s the latest:

- Last week we completed Varsity tryouts and announced the Varsity roster. Every player should know which squad she is playing for (JV or Varsity) and what position.
- Last Sunday we participated in scrimmages vs Blue Valley and St. Thomas Aquinas to help with the training of this season’s officials. I personally want to thank everyone who came out in the blustery conditions to help out. I felt we looked very good, especially when compared to the other teams we played.

- Monday 6 March – indoor practice

- Tuesday 7 March – outdoor practice

- Wednesday 8 March – Outdoor practice. Players that need to attend the MSHSAA meeting will go there instead. That meeting is in the LSW PAC from 5:30 – 6:30pm. Then we have the parent meeting in Mr. Rasdall’s room at 7pm in LSW Room 0184. The easiest way to get there is go to the set of doors closest to the tennis courts, basement level. I have attached a map showing you where those doors are. Please make sure to ask any questions you may have. We will also discuss our out of town plans for this season as well.

- Thursday – outdoor practice.

- Friday – Night off

- No weekend activities.
