Lady Titan Parents & Players,

I just wanted to express my appreciation for everyone braving the cold temps last night to play our games against Shawnee Mission. I completely understand that last night’s conditions were less than favorable (and that’s putting it lightly), and please understand that the decision to play was not one I took lightly. Knowing how difficult it is to reschedule games with so many games on our schedule, plus a short season, I wanted to make sure we got the game in.
My hope is that once we start to experience the warmer weather that is forecasted in the near future, last night’s game will be one of those memories we can talk (and hopefully laugh) about. If you have any questions/comments/concerns you would like to discuss with me, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Enjoy your weekend, and we’ll see you for our next game on Monday. My plan is to leave LSW’s parking lot by 3:15 at the latest.

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s going on for the rest of this week and next week. We have a lot going on, so please make sure you read carefully:

Thursday 5 APRIL – Practice and team feeding at the Lintz house. I’ll text out the address later today.

Friday 6 APRIL – Game #3 vs Shawnee Mission. The forecast is calling for cold temps and possible snow. We want to play the game as rescheduling games is so difficult. If our AD does not call off the game, we will play. Make sure you are properly dressed for cold temps. Have players bring blankets to the bench area, wear long sleeves, running pants, etc…Varsity game is first at 5:30pm. JV will follow at 7:00pm. I want all players there at 4:45pm.

Monday 9 APRIL – Game #4 vs Notre Dame de Sion. This is an away game on turf, so expect us to play regardless of what weather conditions we have over the next few days. The address for Sion is 106th St & Wornall Rd. It’s about ½ mile south of I-435 on Wornall Rd. Varsity will play first at 4:30pm, JV right after. Expect to pay a gate fee, so have cash on-hand. I would like to leave LSW’s parking lot at 3:15pm. Parents that are willing to drive please meet me at the LSW parking lot around 3:00pm so we can make sure all players have a ride.

Tuesday 10 APRIL – Practice plus team feeding at the Lintz house (again). A big thank you to David and Susan Lintz for offering to host twice. We really appreciate it.

Wednesday 11 APRIL – Game #5 vs Lee’s Summit North. This is an away game at LSN. JV is scheduled to play first at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7pm. No need to meet at the LSW parking lot…all players can find their way to LSN like they would have for a home game. Please be at LSN and on the field by 4:45pm for warmups.

Thursday 12 APRIL – Team Pictures. We will meet at the practice field at 5pm for team pics. Please arrive in uniform.

Friday 13 APRIL – Nothing for JV. Varsity leaves for St. Louis. We have a 5:30pm game at Marquette HS. (2351 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017). I would like to have all players on the field by 4:30pm to warm up and stretch. If anyone has a canopy, please bring in just in case we need some shade. I would also suggest lawn chairs for the Marquette game just in case. I will be leaving for STL around 10am so I can get checked into my hotel room and rest for a bit before our game. All players will be excused from school.

Saturday 14 APRIL – Varsity has 2 games at Westminster Christian Academy (800 Maryville Centre Dr, Chesterfield, MO 63017). Our game times are 9:30am vs Lafayette, and 3:00pm vs Westminster Christian Academy. With such a long gap of time between our games, parents/players will have the freedom to find a place to eat as long as everyone returns to WCA by 2pm.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

I have a couple of updates for all of you since our game was cancelled this morning. Here’s the latest on what’s going on for this week:

- Monday 2 APRIL – Game vs Shawnee Mission postponed. We will have indoor practice in the AUX Gym from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
- Tuesday 3 APRIL – We will have practice. We have not decided whether it will be outdoors or indoors as of yet. Details about this to follow tomorrow.
- Wednesday 4 APRIL – Originally scheduled for team pictures. Team pics are now scheduled for Thursday 12 APRIL. We will have practice instead, most likely outdoors.
- Thursday 5 APRIL – We will have practice then a team feeding at the Lintz’s house.
- Friday 6 APRIL – Originally scheduled for a non-divisional game vs St. James Academy. Now will will play our divisional game vs Shawnee Mission instead to make up for Monday’s cancellation. Varsity will play first at 5:30pm, then JV will play at 7:00pm. All players please be at the field no later than 4:45pm.

We still have one more open team feeding date without a home. That date is Tuesday 10 APRIL if anyone is interested. If you are, please feel free to reach out to me.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

What a Week 1 of lacrosse for our team. What we expected to happen with this new league format is coming true, and we are now in a battle with a top program with every game. An 0-2 start for our Varsity was not what we wanted, but through adversity, my hope is that our character as a club will continue to shine and we’ll continue to fight in every minute of every game regardless of the score. We will continue to grow individually and as a team as this season progresses. I am very proud of how hard our players continue to play, and with that wok ethic, I am confident the wins will start coming.

Now, for Week 2 of the season, here’s what we can expect:

Sunday 1 APRIL : Happy Easter!! I hope everyone has an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family.
Monday 2 APRIL: Game #3 vs Shawnee Mission. This will be a home game, and hopefully the snow forecasted for Sunday won’t ruin it for us. Should we be allowed to play, the JV game is at 5:30pm, and Varsity at 7:00pm. I would like everyone there by 4:45pm to get warmed up.
Tuesday 3 APRIL: Practice
Wednesday 4 APRIL: Team Pictures at LSW Practice Field. We will want all players on-site in their game uniforms for pictures at the normal practice time of 5pm. We will be taking individual pics and a team pic. If anyone is interested in ordering picture packages, we should have order forms available.
Thursday 5 APRIL: Practice plus Team Feeding
Friday 6 APRIL: Game #4 vs St. James Academy. This will be a home game. Be at the field by 4:45pm.

On another note, we still have 2 dates for team feedings that do not have anyone signed up for it. The dates are Tues 10 APRIL, and Tues 24 APRIL. If you are interested, please contact me via email at lswhsgirlslax@gmail.com

Lady Titan LAX Family,

I am hoping everyone has heard by now. Our home field was deemed unplayable per the school because of how wet it is…in working with Park Lacrosse we were trying to secure a game field so we wouldn’t have to cancel. Thankfully, our friends at the LS United Youth Lacrosse club reached out to us and offered a field behind Campbell Middle School.
That being said, make sure to have players there and warming up by 4:15pm. The JV game will start at 5pm, then Varsity at 6:15pm. Bring lawn chairs as there are no bleachers. Make sure to park in front of the school, or at the side parking lot. Please do not park behind the school. I appreciate everyone’s flexibility on this one. We were working really hard to not have to reschedule this game…so when you see Ernie Cobbett and/or Ron MacKenzie, please tell them “Thank you” for helping us out with the field and getting it all set up for tonight. I can’t them them enough.
