As we draw closer to the end of the Spring lacrosse season, summer club lacrosse will start up. These are good opportunities for players to get instruction from college coaches and players to fine tune their fundamentals, and participate in out of town tournaments to showcase your talent in front of college coaches.

I have attached a flyer for the Blue Lion Lacrosse Club and their summer opportunities. Blue Lion is one of 3 KC area summer lacrosse clubs. I will send out information from other clubs in the area as I get the information.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

As you know, fundraising is a big part of how we raise money to help with operating expenses associated with running this club, and trust me, it’s not cheap. Your LSW LAX Board has partnered with Lee’s Summit Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram for a quick and easy fundraiser for our club…and it’s really easy (and may be a little fun).

From 1 MAY to 5 MAY, all you have to do is go to the Lee’s Summit Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram location at 1051 SE Oldham Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081, mention “LSW Lacrosse”, go for a test drive in one of their vehicles, and the dealership will donate $20 to our club. And that’s it…

I recommend you let all your friends and family know as well, and have as many people take a test drive over those 5 days…and we get to count the money when it’s all over!!! Post it on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, etc…spread the word. All they have to do is mention “LSW Lacrosse” when they set up the test drive…and we get $20. Can’t get much easier than that, folks.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

What a week of lacrosse. We had a great game against Park and won both our JV and Varsity games. Then our JV team went to Columbia on Saturday and won all 3 games 6-5, 6-2 and 10-3. Now we head into our last 2 weeks of the regular season. Here is what’s going on for this upcoming week:

Monday 23 APRIL – Home Game vs Sion. Please be on the field by 4:45pm. JV game at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7pm.

Tuesday 24 APRIL – Practice plus Team Feeding at Taylor Scott’s house. I’ll text out the address on Tuesday.

Wednesday 25 APRIL – Home game vs St. Teresa’s Academy. Please be on the field by 4:45pm. JV game at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7pm.

Thursday 26 APRIL – Practice.

Friday 27 APRIL – Nothing. Enjoy the night off.

Saturday 28 APRIL – PROM. Be safe and have fun!

As you can see, we have a tough week in front of us as we play the top 2 teams in the division. We need to be focused and ready for a tough game when we step on the field. See you on Monday!!!

Calling all JV Parents,

If you are making the trip to Columbia this Saturday with the JV team, and are an aspiring photographer, we need you!!! Our team photographer (Mike Scott) will not be able to attend the CoMo play date, so we have nobody to take action pics of our girls.

If you are interested, bring your camera and snap away!!! Just come chat with me first to get the pre-game speech of where you can and can’t stand, etc…

Ok, based on yesterday’s email, I have an update:

First, I would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Brian Cox for helping us this week on scheduling. Late last night he gave us the news that we will have our game vs Park this Thursday…so we have a game!!!

So, here’s what’s going on:

Tuesday 17 APRIL – Practice

Wednesday 18 APRIL – Practice plus Team Feeding at Ashlynn Boydston’s house. I’ll text out the address tomorrow.

Thursday 19 APRIL – GAME vs Park at Happy Rock Park. The address is 7600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. The game times are: JV @ 5:15pm, Varsity at 6:45pm. We will try to start the Varsity sooner if possible. Based on approximate travel time (45 mins according to Google Maps), I will plan to leave LSW at 3:45pm.

Friday 20 APRIL – No games or practices. Coach Jordan Dobson and her LSHS girl’s team will be borrowing our home stadium for their game against Olathe. I will be at the stadium running the scoreboard and clock for her. I would love to invite our players and parents to come on out at cheer on Coach Jordan and her team. JV @ 5:30pm, Varsity at 7pm.

Saturday 21 APRIL – JV Tournament at Columbia, MO. First game is at 11:00am, so I plan on leaving LSMO at 8am to get there in time. The address is: 1615 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202. Here’s the game schedule:
11:00am – LSW JV vs Millard West JV (Omaha, NE) – Field #6
1:00pm – LSW JV vs Shawnee Mission (This will be the other JV team from Shawnee Mission, not the one we played on Friday.) – Field #5
2:00pm – LSW JV vs Papillion Lady Knights (Omaha, NE) – Field #6
Then we go to Shakespeare’s Pizza afterwards:

That’s it for now. They are calling for cool temps and possible rain for Saturday, so please check the weather forecast before leaving for Columbia in case you need to bring cold-weather gear.
