The Danville Nationals will face Lynchburg Jefferson for the third time in the deciding game of the 11/12 year old District 2 tournament.  The teams will square off Friday, July 10th, at 6:30 pm at Miller Park in Lynchburg.  The winner will advance to the Virginia state tournament in Richmond later this month.

Last Thursday Jefferson defeated the Nationals 1-0 at Miller Park in a pitcher's duel between Danville's Christian Lancaster and Jefferson's Tucker Toman.

On Monday night, the Nationals manhandled Lynchburg Colonial 10-3 to force a second meeting with Jefferson.  Danville had home runs from Elliott, Clark, and Hicks, and strong pitching from Colin Moore to eliminate Colonial. 

On Tuesday night at Dan Daniel, the Nationals defeated Jefferson in the rematch by a score of 3-0.  Addison Clark and Christian Lancaster combined  for the shutout.  The Nationals manufactured two runs in the first inning to seal the win.

The Little League raffle drawing scheduled for June 26th will now take place on July 9th, at Lefty Wilson.  All team managers should ensure that tickets and money are turned in by Tuesday, July 7th.
