The Mermaid Girls Softball League, a non-profit organization has roots dating back to 1967. We serve the greater Oxnard & Port Hueneme areas, open to all girls between the ages of 4 to 17. Our mission is to instill within the girls of this community the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, and courage. We offer this recreational opportunity to all girls, regardless of their athletic ability or hardship. Though we strive for friendly competition, we believe that a positive attitude is more critical than talent, and desire to learn is more valuable than skill.

• Mandatory TEAM COACH MEETINGS: 1st TUESDAY of each Month - Feb & Mar @ 7pm, Apr-Jun @ 730pm - EO Green Gym

• Together, we can make the season a success, all you have to do is help out!!  All parents, guardians and fans are invited to pitch-in at ANY time with preping fields, manning the snack-bar, umpiring and general park maintenance during the season, PLEASE jump right in & help out as often as possible! 

• Coaches & Volunteers are encouraged to complete 'Sportsmanship & Recognition Award' nominations all season long! (Click on that tab from the main menu for Info!)

• Coaches & Volunteers are also encouraged to nominate those who are interested in participating on the Executive Board.

A very special thank you to ALL who came together & worked so very hard to reach the 2014 Tournament team goal! Unfortunately, after all that effort, PONY officials cancelled the event for our team's age-bracket. The girls, parents, coaches and volunteers rallied to create some great memories as a team at the end of the Summer!

All donations will be carried over, and we are committed to looking forward to the next tournament opportunity !!  

PONY Slow Pitch World Series Tournament

Mermaid Softball is proud to be recognized for our contribution to the community and to be known for the strength of our Tournament team, having brought (3) National Championship titles back to Oxnard. This year we hope to continue in this tradition and have already begun planning for an outstanding tournament season.

Since we are a non-profit organization*, our tournament budget is limited. Typically players, parents and volunteers hold numerous fundraisers to help cover costs, however, transportation, uniforms, accommodations, equipment, food and tournament fees can exceed our resources.

In an attempt to minimize out-of-pocket expenses to players and coaches, we are turning to the community and to our extended families to ask for support. A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Please consider the invaluable experience playing in the tournament will be for our girls. Your contribution will ensure that no deserving player will be left behind just because of financial hardship.
