Welcome by Chris - This was started last November, and here we are. Perhaps in a couple of years, we can make this a statewide thing.

Pins - website - Info from Troy.

By-laws - Rob. These will be on here soon, so you can check them out and make suggestions.

Dues - Proposed a fee for dues. They would be yearly at about $20.00 per person. That would cover the yearly dues for the Little League Umpire registry and cover 'office expenses'.

There are plans for a yearly rules update clinic in the spring.

Proposed to have 2 meetings a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The fall meeting should be a barbeque and hold elections for the following season's board.

There are 8 state tournaments. If you are interested, contact Chris Parker. it would be great to have folks at each tournament that is going on.

In order to work all star games, you need to have a volunteer form filled out, so there is a background check.

Ken - Our umpire in Chief
Asks that your phone numbers are up to date for assignments during the all stars.

Meeting adjourned by Chris

MD3LLUA Takes A Trip North

Posted by Robert Curtis at May 15, 2006 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

On Sunday (May 21st) the MD3LLUA went north to Monticello to put on a one day rules and mechanics clinic for Border Little League. The morning was spent by the 20 people in attendance taking a "test" and reviewing the surprising answers. The afternoon started with a q & a session. Then things moved outside to the field where the basics of  plate and bases mechanics were gone over. The day ended with a game where the umpires were given a chance to umpire both the plate and bases and receive tips from the clinic staff.

If you would like for us to put on a clinic for your league contact John Rice RiJ292@aol.com
