Kelli and I are sitting at the Airport in Chicago waiting for our flight at 4:10 pm-local time.
The day started at 5 am in Brewer, and we arrived at the airport in Bangor at 7 am. That is when the fun started. Northwest cancelled our flight that was supposed to leave at 8:30 am. The next available flight was going to leave at 4pm and not arrive in Kalamazoo at 10:18 their time.
I know this is hard to believe, but I was not very happy. There is a 4 pm umpires meeting and then a 8 pm meeting with the managers and coaches. Let me tell you, the airline was not very helpful. Thanks to the smart thinking on Kelli's part, we will arrive in Kalamazoo at 5:55 pm local time. We had to travel to the Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton and catch a flight out of there at 10:10. Our next stop was Boston-Logan, where we had about 1 hour lay over. We left Boston at 12:20 and headed to Chicago-O'Hare. We arrived in Chicago just before 2 pm local time. Luckily, I will be able to get to the 8 pm meeting tonight.
Everything gets started at 11:30 am on Thursday with the opening ceremonies. There will 6 games starting at 1 pm. Hopefully tomorrow goes better then today !!
